We stayed at this place based in the high ratings. The room and all linens were clean, that was true and I guess the most important. The reception on the phone and at ckin was congenial. And that is where the good stuff stops. There werenât enough linens for 3 even though the reservation was for 3. There was no hand soap provided at the sink, only 1 tube shampoo and one mini body wash. I called to ask for the items we needed and were told to pkup in 5 min. When my husband went to pkup, the older woman insisted we use shampoo to wash our hands and was curt and impatient. Later in the evening, the toilet wouldnât drain the water. We called the reception for a plunger and were told to come get it. We were treated suspiciously and rudely asked if we had âsh#tâ in the toilet and also told not to put too much tissue in the toilet. All of this in short, rude, and impatient communication. The next morning as we are packing up our car to leave, the same man, who is the owner/operator and lives with his family behind the reception, stands circa 50 ft behind my husband staring at usâŚ.creepy!! As we pulled out, he was standing near the reception, again, just staring at us as we finished loading and pulled out. The whole interaction after ckin was very rude, and had a hostile feeling to it. They were stingy and cheap with the small amenities and the creepy suspicious behavior was very off setting. Our room was low level acceptable. Yes, linens were clean. The room was spacious enough, especially the bathroom, to be comfortable. The window AC started out reasonably cool but circa 10:30pm while we were trying to sleep seemed to go tepid and stopped cooling properly and we were all sleeping out of the covers to stay cool. The unit is definitely not functioning properly. We left our room spotless and were careful to account for all linens etc as we felt they were expecting us to haul off anything not screwed downđ¤¨. I would highly recommend adding a mirror over the large vanity outside of the bathroom because the sink area is too small to accommodate toiletries/hair accessories, etc.. Conclusion: clean, roomy, no carpetđđť, are all pluses. Negative: nasty suspicious owners, no frills to include hand soap(!), AC needs repaired! They were suspicious of us because we asked for bath linens for our registered 3rd person, expected hand soap to be provided, and needed a plunger for their toilet, which had low water pressure and couldnât flush urine/toilet paper. I wouldnât have suspected our stay to be so rough based on the reviews I read. The saving grace was at least it was clean! 3âď¸ for room bc I want to be fair due to the cleanliness and roominess. 2âď¸ for the young lady (teen? family member?) who was so congenial on the phone and at ckin 5âď¸ because the location was easy on/off...
Read moreThe manager seems to be a racist middle eastern man. I think the other employees are his family. We had never seen or spoken to him before. I had a migraine headache so I had to lie down right up until checkout time. The manager harassed us the whole time, knocking on the door and rushing us out. He stopped my husband as we were leaving and accused us of "misusing" the room for leaving towels on the tile floor. There was no laundry hamper. Where are we supposed to put damp towels? On the counter? On the tv? In the fridge? If you hang them up, someone will think they are clean and try to use them. Gross. The carpet would be a bad place to put them. There is no other place! I asked if he uses bleach. He said yes. I said "problem solved". Also, he seemed to think we shouldn't have two little kids with us even though it was a double room. The bathroom door had no lock for a double room, the mirror is so low that I had no head even from the middle of the room, The coffee pot was dirty, There was no sink except in the bathroom, the internet was unusable, there was no lobby, no breakfast, no pool or hot tub, The beds were small, full not queen, There were only 2 teeny-weeny towels for a double room, we could only get two more. It was pretty obvious that we were not wanted. We are an all white family from Arkansas. Maybe that's...
