Very confuse.
I ordered a pizza burger with great expectations. One would expect from the title of such a sandwich that it would be a revolutionary hybrid of the two worlds of pizza and burger. Upon receiving my order, I excitedly opened the wrapper to discover what looked like a chicken sandwich. I inquired of the waitress if I had been given the right sandwich, and she affirmed that what I held in my hands was indeed the pizza burger.
Despite my skepticism, I decided to trust the waitress's word. I took a bite to discover the likes of a chicken fried steak smothered in fancy yellow mustard and topped with onions and pickles. There was no hint of what we traditionally call "pizza" except for a granule or 2 of mozzarella cheese in the patty.
I was, of course, quite shocked to discover the utter lack of pizza attributes in a sandwich called the "pizza burger". (There were, however, many burger attributes). I was so befuddled, in fact, that I asked an employee about the history of this burger's moniker. She responded with a timid "I don't know, maybe the mozzarella?" and proceeded to explain that some people do in fact get marinara on their burger instead of mustard. It would have been nice to have known that, as marinara is traditionally associated with pizza over mustard. I am also confused as to why the sauce defaults to the yellower of the two. Would that sauces remain associated with their entrees!
I cannot complain too much, however. The prices were thrifty and the pink lemonade was indeed poppin'. I must seek out the founder to know the history of the pizza burger before I...
Read moreMy frist experience during lunch here was pleasant and the lady was friendly. I order to go drive threw. She was very friendly and helpful. Night shift complete opposite. I never had so many staff members just give dirty looks and acted rude and snobby. I even asked what time they closed they said 9:30. We arrived 40 minutes till. They where openly making rude remarks about us being there. I even ordered our food to go because the way they made us feel. But the sundae was so messy we had to eat it there. They didn't offer Togo bag or napkins. No way I could ride with that in my car. The food has really went down hill since I ate there last. Thier taco salads use to be in taco shell not over nachos. My daughter burger was charred and burnt on outside and pink in the middle. I got to say I've never been to a restaurant establishment and got treated that way and felt so unwelcomed by people being so rude and disrespectful. I wasn't the only one in there eating either. It was obvious they made people feel...
Read moreI’m not from this area but I’d always heard about how the food at Bulldog’s is excellent. I was excited to try it, especially this strawberry dessert people had spoken so highly of. Since I was starving, I ordered a cheeseburger with chili cheese fries and for dessert, that strawberry shortcake I’d heard about. Unfortunately, the cheeseburger tasted like one of those school lunchroom burgers that have soy patties that you take out of a package a warm up. The chili cheese fries had the most awful, funkiest tasting chili on them that I’d ever tried. I don’t know if it was the spices they used or what, but I couldn’t even eat them. The strawberry dessert equally disappointed me, not at all like what I would’ve expected. I doubt I’ll ever be back to this place, but they don’t look like they have trouble with getting business. We were there on a Wednesday night (after the church crowd gets out) and the parking lot was absolutely jam-packed, you hardly had the room to pull out of your...
