If I could give it zero I would. I was booked (09-6-20 to 09-08-20) in a filthy room full of stains everywhere. 1st thing, the sliding door curtain has dark and red stains all over. That's not to mention damage holes and tear on them. 2nd, bathroom sink and tub were not draining properly. Leaving you in a pool of water as you them. I reported them the night before and and by the time we checked out around 11am no one had come by to fix them. 3rd, we also found red stains on the bed sheets. When we called front-desk to report it, we were offered clean one but were told to come down and get them ourselves. Which of course we objected to and asked they bring them themselves. Of course they delivered the wrong bedsheets size, not to mention they had no more clean comforter. So this time I went down to grab another set of sheets to make sure they're the right size. That night I ended up wrapping myself in a fitted sheet like a burrito while my girlfriend was under the sheete with 2 beach towels over. Minds you it's summer time and our room sliding door opens to the parking lot. So we had to run the AC since we couldn't sleep we open fresh air. 4th, final nail on the coffin, all the white towels were dirty with black stains and discoloration. While others had yellow stains. I first put the bathroom floor towel on the floor to notice big clear visible yellow stain spots. I took everything to front-desk to show and I was was told by the lady stains are to be expected on towels. Of which I objected to and persisted on receiving new set. And she did. Once back in the room I noticed the first white towel I pulled had yellow stains spots on it and was discolored along the rest. Unfortunately my girlfriend had used that towel before I mentioned it to her. And I still have not told her. I took them down after to front-desk and the lady claimed she checked for stains before handing them to me. I pointed out the yellow stain spots from the one my girlfriend had use. She said stain spots should be expected towels as was city water can be the cause. When I told her then they should trash them and provide new ones. She then quickly asked if I want to check out now and she would waive the early check-out for 1 day left out of our 2 days reservation. Well as of yesterday and today my card statement is showing two full transactions for total amount of four 4 days instead of 1. I respectfully request refund for the one night stayed in tbe dirty room with dirty bed sheets and towels. Of which I have been denied. As far as speaking with the manager, well, apparently he had called out for the day. So said the lady at the...
Read moreThe hotel overall has a potential. Good location, a range of amenities in rooms, and services. However there is definitely room for improvements, especially with training their staff. We chose the hotel because of the combination of factors: pet-friendly, close proximity to the ferries to Nantucket, pool, breakfast. Well, pet-friendly room had a smell (which never happened with other hotels from SPG/Marriott network, we used to stay). Breakfast had all the regular cheap fatty food options, but has a good value overall. As for the pool it could be simply great if one could use it! It's open only 9am - 9pm ! Basically we could only use it on the day of the checkout, when we didn't have any other plans. Although a weird thing happened - while we were in the pool there comes their engineer and dumps 2 jars of chemicals 10 feet from where we were in the water. Couldn't they do it while the pool was closed? Are they sure they are not endangering their guests health by doing this? During check-in Sasha at the reception didn't even bring up a welcome gift matter (and I have a Diamond level). On the 2nd day of our stay we left the hotel at 7am for Nantucket, and came back at 8pm to find out that our room wasn't serviced. Of course at that point we only needed fresh towels and to rest. So I went to the reception to report the problem, and to pick up the towels. John who was on duty that day merely recognized the problem, and promised to convey it to the manager. Next day during check-out I asked Jo Ann about the problem, and she said she didn't know anything about it. And went on with the check-out. She simply dismissed the question. I had to press on that I'd like to hear from the manager, and her response was: "Ok, I'll let him know'. Only after I said that I was under the impression that BW had better customer service approach, and that clearly neither she, or John cared about the situation, I heard first attempt at apology at all. Well, after I submitted BW questionnaire 5 days later I got an auto response under Jay's the manager name. Standard blah-blah. Now exactly one week passed since we checked out, and I have not heard from him even after posting a review on TripAdvisor. So I feel it's only fair to warn other travelers about the service they might expect there. And again I'm judging from the experience: when such things happened twice at SPG properties there was clear response from the staff, and they did their best to amend the inconvenience. We believe that with room rates at $200 per night that we paid, one shall expect decent service. By the way this is my first hotel rating below...
Read moreI’m not sure why there’s so many negative reviews to this location. My family and I (and our dog) stayed for a week and loved it! Stayed in a room with a door next to the parking lot (easy access to the parking lot and to walk the dog) The room was a bit small but it was clean and had a table, 2 chairs, an armoire with an ironing board, iron, a TV, there’s a hairdryer in the huge bathroom. The beds were very comfortable, with enough pillows and covers. Also, there’s a microwave and a half fridge (no freezer). - Upstairs there’s an ice machine.
Parking lot can get overly crowded on the weekends, we didn’t have many issues. There’s one EV parking spot with a charger, I don’t believe it’s for Tesla though.
There’s a nice walking area to walk your pets. But please don’t be one of those lazy guests that don’t pick up after your pet, that’s very trashy (it’s not that hard to pick up after your pet; there’s even trash bins located throughout the property outside).
The pool, hot tub, sauna, shower area was clean (I saw someone clean that area everyday) & always had fresh pool towels ; everything was working well & there’s speakers with music (wasn’t always on which was a bummer but better than nothing).
Breakfast; not bad, quality could be better. Coffee, juices, milk. Eggs (either scrambled or omelette, and hard boiled), homefries, bacon or sausage (links or patty’s), a pancake machine (you make your own with the touch of a button, that’s it! So cool! A hit with the kids), fruits, yogurts, granola, muffins, bread/toast, and 3 cereal choices.
The only issues I had with this visit were with other guests. There was a huge group (I think a little league baseball team and families). They were so obnoxious!! The adults didn’t seem to watch the children (they were more worried about getting drunk and sitting on the one small deck), the kids were running around the dark parking lot, throwing balls, yelling -which yes they’re kids but- this was happening all night past midnight with no parental supervision. They would also take over the hot tub area and hog it for hours. Breakfast time? Forget it, so rude and again NO parental supervision. Every guest was side eyeing these “parents” this breakfast area was basically a free for all for these kids. Bumping into people, cutting the lines, grabbing stuff (putting dirty hands on stuff and putting it back) for themselves (even the smaller kids which should’ve gotten help, 5 yr old?) Needless to say it was a hot mess!!
The only other issue was the cost was a bit higher than I expected. Other than that the...
