Worst homegoods experience Iāve had. Happened a little over two weeks ago. Store Manager was away for a week I was later told. I asked an employee if she would get two items for me on a cart that was just through the stock room entryway. I could see them clearly. The cart looked full and I knew everything was tagged to purchase. I couldnāt wait around for them to roll it out because I had somewhere to be. This nice employee headed to the stock room happily to help. Another employee stopped her just as she reached for the two items I wanted to buy. She rudely said they couldnāt bring anything out onto the floor for customers, then proceeded to rudely repeat herself to me and say itās store policy. I told her I wouldnāt know the store policy as nothing is posted? I felt as though this woman did not want me to have these two items just to be spiteful. I sadly left without either after having driven 30 minutes just to get to this store. It was disapppinting and for a customer it was pretty shocking that no one would help. I called to speak to a a manager and was told the store manager was away for a week, I think his name was Joe or Chris? This particular employee who was so rude did not work in the back, she worked in the home/kitchen area and was stocking shelves. She had dark brown shoulder length hair and glasses and had such a miserable attitude. Wish homegoods hired employees who wanted to help customers and who exuded happiness. Also, Iām not sure if the policy this woman mentioned is in fact true or not, but there are no signs? Iām wondering if other people have experienced this? Seems wrong and it really bothered me that I was treated this way when I shop in this chain so often. Iāll be visiting other stores moving forward where Iāve never had an experience like this. Poor management and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have shopped at many Home Goods Stores, as I usually am able to find something great...for myself, or as a gift for someone else. I was visiting friends in Barnstable and needed a gift for some special friends. When I walked in I was greeted by the most incredible young lady, I believe her name was Helyn Jones! She approached me and asked if she could help me...I told her I was looking for a gift and in my amazement she took me to see her suggestion and I was blown away! She listened, she cared, and obviously loves what she does, because when I arrived at my friends house, they were thrilled in love with it. I was the hit of the party with the gift picked out by Helyn Jones, Hyannis MA! Kudos to Home Goods for having such an AMAZING employee like her on their staff. She's a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moregreat store and staff, however, i am disappointed to find that dogs are allowed in your stores even though you sell food and soft goods. i like to enjoy shopping, but having to consider encountering dogs as i walk through the store is very stressful. i am highly allergic to dogs along with not anticipating a scenario w barking dogs. also so much shelf-space devoted to dogs items and the reduction of the children's items including toys. these are not "service" dogs--they are being carried and put in carts where i usually put purchases. i do not understand why dog-owning customers are being privileged over those of us who do not own and do not like sharing shopping space with them. thank you. ps. please do not accuse me of hating dogs; i love them, just...
