WOW!!! STAY HERE! We came in late off the road, and I could tell this hotel was going to be nice. The curb appeal was above par. No trash strewn all over grounds or cigarette butt's in corners. We have a dog and the pet area was really nice. Some ignorant pet owners refuse to pick up after their dogs, so be careful walking at night. Upon entering our room, NO foul smells were detected. Which is great for a room that allows pets. It was SUPER clean. NO BUGS, either! No stains on bed linens, comfortable matress, and pillows. No thin bath towels. Great water pressure. Clean microwave and fridge. They even had a mini ice cube tray! (NEVER seen that in all the hotels we stay in as truckers!) Breakfast was normal fare. The only hot food is waffles. How refreshing to stay in such a stellar hotel. The owner should be proud to have such a competent staff from the front desk, maintenance and especially the cleaning staff. They are why people come back. Kudos!!!! PS The art decor is beautiful.

As a top level Choice Hotel patron I have visited many locales. Always liked that Quality Inns seem to fit my preferred owner/operator management. Actually find myself missing the Breezewood Quality Inn that recently closed. On this trip from DC to Cleveland needed a stop part way and found this hotel online with great reviews. Was ablw to use some points and got a great king suite for my wife and me. Vee Hagen the General Manaher filled me in with the latest corporate gossip and Daisy her relatively new but pleadant and warm desk staff got us all settled quickly. Got my usual preferred parking too. It is clear this is award winning and I feel another year is in the bag. I heartily endorse the facility, you won't go wrong. Has replaced Breezewood for a place to stop off the highway in central PA when on a road trip.

I typically do not choose a Choice Hotel, however, after reading many reviews on TripAdvisor about this hotel, and the high-quality of service, we decided to give it a try for one night while we were in the area. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I was pleasantly surprised, actually shocked really. |The hotel is basically one level living. There is a ground level hotel room rooms on the back of the hotel, but from the parking lot, everything is level entry and handicap accessible.|You do have to check in at the front desk as the Choice app does not give you that option. The main check-in building has the breakfast area which did not provide a choice of hot items for breakfast other than a waffle maker. But all of the items were the usual and they were good. The food attendant was attentive to our needs and also sometimes work the front desk.||Our room was in a separate building that was all interconnected via outside walkways. Our room was actually quiet. You cannot really hear anyone on the sides of you. And good thing there was nobody above you or below you.|The room was clean and the sink counter was a bit higher than standard height, which if you are short, might be a bit difficult to lean over into the sink to wash your face.|But other than that, everything was comfortable, the bed was comfortable, the toilet was a good height and not low to the ground and the television reception came in perfect and everything was great. I was so surprised and happy that we picked up this hotel.||We would totally stay at this hotel again when in the Bedford/Altoona area. Altoona was only like 30 minutes away and we were looking to book something in Altoona for the fall leaves viewing, but everything was sold out and so happy that we...

This is a nice hotel. It has a microwave, a coffee pot, and a mini-fridge, and all three work correctly. They have pet-friendly rooms for a $25 a night fee. The pet-friendly rooms are away from the other rooms, so you don't have to worry about someone complaining about a barking dog. The hotel also provides a complimentary continental breakfast, which I hear good things about, but I don't know personally because I didn't go to it. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the pillows are soft, and the comforters are comfy and big enough to cover the entire bed and then some. There is a TV with cable, but no streaming access. Across from the rooms, a pet relief area is provided. It's pleasant with space to roam a little and picnic tables; it's also away from the main road, so if your pet gets loose, you don't have to worry about it getting hit by a car (from the road, there's still the parking lot). The staff is excellent, from check-in to check-out and housekeeping. They were all friendly, helpful, and delightful to encounter.|Within a 5-minute drive, there are places to eat nearby, including some fast food options (Taco Bell, Arby's, McDonald's, and Wendy's), a Pizza Hut, Subway, two sit-down steak restaurants, and two gas stations, one of which is a Sheetz. There is a local Italian restaurant nearby, but I don't know where exactly. Entrance to the Turnpike is also less than 5 minutes away. A Dollar General is within five miles on Route 30. Old Bedford Village is less than 10 minutes away. They have an outside pool, but it was closed for the season in September. |Overall, this is a pleasant hotel—nothing really fancy but a reasonable price for a nice room and a good location. I highly recommend staying...
