I had an absolutely terrible stay, if I could rate my experience as a zero I would. I was going to be staying for three months for an internship and after I unpacked all of my belongings I saw a flea on the counter. I killed it and then later on saw at least three more, killing them all. I went to use the bathroom and saw that it seemed the toilet had not been flushed from the last person who was in the room. I had to leave at that moment for orientation and when I got back as soon as I got into the room, I felt an itch and saw a flea on my ankle. I decided I was not going to stay even one night in that room. I went down to the front desk and asked the lady for a manager, to which she replied that there was not one there, at all. I then told the lady about my experience and she said she would change my room, but she did not apologize for the inconvenience. I asked if there was anyone to help me with all of my belongings, considering I had a lot since I was staying for so long. She said there was absolutely no one to help me. So I went off to try to have a luggage cart and could not for around fifteen minutes, so I went back to the front desk. I asked the same lady if they had any more carts and she said no. I asked if there was a cart that housekeeping had that I could borrow and she said no, that she could not go get it. I said I would go get it and bring it back, I just needed to move my things. She said that no one from housekeeping was even there. I was getting very upset by all of this considering while she was speaking to me she did not seem to try and help me with my situation or even seemed to care. Every time I went to the desk she would have people, I’m guessing friends by the way they talked, hanging around the desk and listening to my situation and they said they also saw bugs around. I thought that it was very rude to allow people to linger around and listen to anything a customer said. She would even sing songs while I was trying to talk to her, her whole attitude was very unprofessional. So I decided to go try and find a cart on the other floors, finally found one and packed up all of my things into my car. I decided I was not going to stay at this hotel at all. I had been calling my family and telling them about the situation and they decided they would come pick me up to drive me home since I had been driving all day and had not been able to rest. Once they got there we all went to the front desk to ask for a refund, but there was no one at the desk. I was assured by Jordan, the manager, when I made my reservation that there would be someone at the desk 24/7 and that there would be security walking around at night, which was not true either. There was a phone that we could use to try and get ahold of someone, yet no one would answer. So with all of us becoming upset with the whole situation we just decided to leave and call in the morning. I ended up with multiple bites on my ankles from the fleas. I did receive a refund in the end. However, considering I’ve also been into the hotel business for years, I was shocked to see how the whole situation was handled and how I was treated as a customer. Read moreI was recommended to stay at this hotel by a manger of another hotel in Waco. "Hey," he said, "Its a great place and it will save you some money." Lowest rates are about $60 a night for a week stay, prepaid. I prepaid a whole week based on this guy's sincere recommendation. What a mistake. ||||My experience was awful. The entire floor smelled like marijuana, even though it was a non-smoking floor. Only one elevator, expect to wait. No bedside lamp with a single ceiling light bulb. Laundry machines did not work, and I heard one person complain that her laundry was stolen. No place to sit in the laundry room. Rooms have a kitchenette, but no glasses, no coffee maker, no pots, pans, or plates. Window shades did not work, so room was flooded by super bright lighted sign, making it hard to sleep. No black out shades. Shower rod was broken, so bathroom gets flooded when one takes a shower. Free Wi-Fi was actually $20. Very noisy clients, with whole families packed into small rooms with paper thin walls. There were chunks of the bathroom and bedroom drywall missing, and the outside of the refrigerator was horribly stained and dirty, No place to sit, except these unpaded metal institutional chairs, and no sofa. The hotel is apparently very popular, so parking can be an issue. The key cards had to be repeatedly re-programmed, like every other day, which was inconvenient, especially when the front desk is closed. ||||The room reminded me of a Federal Prison, but with a microwave. ||||On the bright side, if your employer gives you a per diem for a room and you want to save some serious money, and you don't mind the smell, dirt, noise and won't be using the laundry or kitchen, then this place is for you. Service was very good, and front desk staff were pleasant. It's not their fault the place is a dump. ||||Otherwise, I think I'd rather...
Read moreMy family drove to Waco to attend a waterpark nearby, we arrived at 4:30pm after being at the waterpark all morning. We booked two rooms online and when we went to the front desk we asked if there was two rooms near each other. The front desk woman (who looked like she was high off her * twitching non stop, slurring, etc) told us no that after we checked in they were all booked up. Not a problem, she told us we would be on floors 1 and 2. She had to do the paperwork for each room separately... and was extremely slow. When she finished the paperwork for the room on the 2nd floor she handed us the key and started on what was supposed to be the 1st floor room. When she finished (around 30 mins later) she gave us the key to room 411.. ON THE 4TH FLOOR... Ok fine... We get into the room and it was disgusting, the floors were sticky food and drinks left in the fridge, a dirty smell in the room. But there are no other rooms so we just accept fate and are just wanting a shower and to get ready for dinner. So we use the restroom and the toilet wont fill back up with water of course. SO we call down to the front and she says she will be up in about an hour to look at it. We decide to go ahead and shower real quick. While i am in the shower the woman knocks and my sister lets her in and she can clearly hear the shower but decides to WALK INTO THE BATHROOM WHILE I AM SHOWERING TO LOOK AT THE TOILET. After that horrible scene we are just done with the day so we go eat and on our way back into the hotel there is this sickening smell of rotten fish all through the hallways and into the elevator. If i could give negative stars i would. I have never spent money on a hotel that i have absolutely hated before now. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE! SPEND A LITTLE MORE AND GO...
