What can I say about this place? Well I stay at Courtyards wherever I go, so I guess the rooms and lobby was nicer than others. And the location was good too.
But that's about all the positives. I was there on a business trip, checked in on a Wed, was booked to check out on a Sat. When I woke up Friday morning, my vehicle had been broken into. As were 3 others. After speaking with the police who arrived on site, and found a place to perform repairs, I decided to check out Friday afternoon. As I was at the dealership all morning, by the time I checked out it was about 1315. I asked if my 3rd night could be refunded and I was told no. Ok, fine. However, the level of sympathy that I received from the front desk staff was next to nothing, which gave me the feeling that break ins happen routinely on this property. I was helped by an older gentleman who claimed he was a supervisor, and had been with Marriott hotels for 19 years. I received nothing but condescension from this gentleman, as he claimed that the parking lot was the police's jurisdiction and asked me multiple times if I called the police to file a report. Again, I get it that they are not responsible for break ins or vehicle damage. Mind you, I had nothing valuable visible in my car. I asked if they were concerned about the image of their property if customers wake up and see police in their parking lot and vehicles broken in. All I received was deer in the headlights. After all, the parking lot is Marriott property. At the end of the day, I asked for a receipt for my stay, as I needed that to submit with my company for reimbursement. I was informed that a receipt couldn't be supplied, and that "the computer needed to check me out". I find it hard to believe that a supervisor with the company for 19 years could not print me out or email me a receipt. I ended up having to file a claim with Corporate Marriott customer service just to obtain a receipt. After reading reviews of this property, it appears that vehicle break ins are common, and that customers commonly do not obtain receipts, and end up being scammed for extra charges.
I guess what I'm trying to convey here is stay at this location at your own risk. This staff appears accustomed to vehicle break ins occurring on their property. The property has zero cameras. Which honestly, based on the level of apathy I received from the staff, I would not be surprised if some of the staff is in on the recurring break ins. I am checking my credit card statements daily to see if any late charges or continuing stay charges incur. If you're staying at this location for the outlets, I recommend taking the money you'd save and spend it on a nicer...
Read moreMy family and I stayed at this hotel for Christmas December 24-26 2023. Our stay was going awesome until the morning of December 26th. We woke up to go down to have breakfast. Being that the other two days they were on a "holiday" schedule we were given bag type breakfast. No problem because we understood the staff needed to spend time with their families as well. However, on the morning of the 26th my family and I are casually looking at the menu, while 2 other ladies are being served. The lady at the register looks directly at me and rudely yells, we only have eggs and something else she said but, I'd tuned her out. I grabbed my daughter by the hand and I said come on let's go back upstairs and get our luggage so I can check out. My husband followed. Once we retrieved our luggage my husband and daughter went to the car. As I was checking out I asked the young lady at the desk about the menu because my daughter didn't eat eggs. Out of nowhere here comes this lady from the breakfast area asking me what my problem was. I later found out her name was Bronze. I asked her to step away from me and told her I was not speaking to her. She continued to engage me with a big purple bonnet on. Instead of being at a high class hotel I really felt like I was at some low class budget hotel. This women continued to go back and forth with me until I asked for the manager. The manager had to literally walk her away to the back. Then Bronze pulls out her phone. By now I've gone outside and gotten my husband from the car. The best they did was credit my account $100. That's fine but, Bronze doesn't need to be working at anyone's establishment with a bonnet helping customers being rude and nasty! I will definitely be filing a complaint with corporate as well. The hotel itself was beautiful. The area beautiful. The staff was amazing until we ran into Bronze. She should have been walked out of there immediately the way she was...
Read moreOur stay was okay. Rooms were clean and location was great, however the customer service from Kenneth at the front desk was the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced at a Marriott in my 10+ years of staying at marriott properties. He was extremely rude. I was not greeted upon check-in. Kenneth asked for my last name, DL, and form of payment. No welcome, hello, or anything. After pulling up my reservation, Kenneth asked for my employee discount form. I asked if I could email it or if there was a computer to print my form. He directed me to the computer. After several attempts of trying to print the form, the computer was blocking any files from being opened. I even showed him the issue. I asked him could I send it to him for him to print it. He stated, “I should have printed the form before arrival”. I notified him that all properties are different with their policies and some properties prefer the form emailed rather than printed but I’ve never had an issue printing the form on site if needed. He finally gave me his work email and then told me “you need to go ahead and have it sent over because I am not checking you in until I receive it” after the form was already sent over. He then stated “this is why I don’t like it being sent through email because now I have to stand here and wait on your email”. There was no one else waiting to check in so I’m not sure what the issue was. I even apologized several times. He gave me my keys and sent me on my way. I did not receive the same introduction of the amenities like the guests before me. I was very apologetic and kind to Kenneth yet I did not receive the same kindness or even professionalism in return. He even gave myself and my family a mean mug upon return with our luggage. I was extremely uncomfortable every time I entered the lobby and he was present. I hope no one inconveniences Kenneth like I did in the future to make him...
