This is the best place to buy a mattress if you are trying to get the best quality mattress for the least amount of money. I researched online to try to find what makes a good mattress, then used that information to find the best quality mattresses made. It was an easy decision where to buy, because buying from Beloit Mattress Company was a lot cheaper than other options. They make what they sell, which means they don’t have to charge as much per mattress to make enough money to stay in business. Also, because there are a small company dealing DIRECTLY with their customers, if they were not quality, their customers would not buy from them again or recommend them, and so they would quickly go out of business. They are the “real deal”, a small, family-owned business making a quality local product.

My experience of buying from them was hassle-free. We live in Milwaukee, so we drove to Beloit so we could try out the mattresses to make sure which one we wanted. I had read online you should lay on a mattress you are considering for at least 15 minutes. The sales people were great about telling me what I needed to know, then they let me be to take as much time as I wanted. (And I took a LONG time. I went back and forth testing between my top two choices four times!) They were able to answer every question I had, which helped a lot in narrowing down my options to three mattresses, then two, then finally the best for me.

I did have to wait a few weeks for them to make the mattress, but that was okay with me because I want my mattress to last a decade or two, so waiting a couple extra weeks seemed reasonable. Even though they had delivery, I picked my new mattress up myself. (I admit this was because there are no Taco John’s restaurants in Milwaukee County and the Taco John’s in Beloit is excellent. 😂). Picking up was also hassle free; they loaded it in my van and home I went.

I sought out the best new mattress I could find because I get a sore back and wake up several times a night unless my mattress is just right. I also had been diagnosed with sleep apnea just before I bought my mattress. That was almost two years ago. I love my mattress, it is comfortable and I am much better rested. After owning a high quality flippable, Sealy Posturepedic mattress for over 30 years, I felt compelled to purchase another. And I did just that - purchased one from Costco three years ago. Within three years and especially after adding a bed partner, this mattress went from “comfort-firm” to “extra-plush”. In fact, it caved so much at times that I would roll over to my partner as he got into bed, and I began to develop back aches. A bit of internet searching turned up a sad reality - that companies (especially during the pandemic) began cheaping out on the quality of their products while still charging the same - or even more - for them. I saw this happen to everything from dish soap to restaurant service, and now mattresses. I was desperate to find a company that was holding strong to their good values, even if that meant charging twice the price of a mattress from Costco. I searched for local flippable mattresses and found Beloit Mattress Company - and I feel confident that my faith in a quality mattress company has been restored. My partner and I dropped in one day and spoke to the owner, Steve, who gave us all the deets while allowing us the time to look around and try out different mattresses. He was not pushy. We ended up going with the Orthopedic Firm. It was delivered by two really nice guys, Bill and Dakota, who did an outstanding job getting a king sized mattress through narrow passageways and doorways (the mattress itself has a lot of give/can bend). My partner and I are so excited to try this out. We feel better going with a reputable local company and knowing that the customer service is also top-notch in case there is an issue. I will update my review if my feelings on these matters change....

2 years ago my husband and I were lucky enough to read a review of The Beloit Mattress Company while searching for a new mattress to replace the still new expensive mattress that was not what we had hoped it to be. We don't even live in the same town as Beloit Mattress, or state for that matter. What we experienced when we walked in that door was unparalleled. We learned a lot about mattresses. We were given alone time to just walk around and take our time trying out the different mattresses too. We chose a mattress, with the help of owner Ryan Poppie, and he personally delivered it. To our home in another state. Amazing. We know that it is almost impossible anymore to successfully find a mattress that is wonderful but we want to let you all know that we did. We have a wonderful Beloit Mattress mattress now. Every single night when I get into that bed I relax completely. The support is just amazingly perfect. Night after night. Buying a mattress is hard work. Impossible work. Make your life easier and let Ryan Poppie and his crew at Beloit Mattress make your sleep perfect. Oh - and another thing that is fabulous - they sell pillows and mattress covers and sheets - we bought Bed Gear pillows and a mattress cover - also stellar recommendations.
