Traveling with an elderly lady whoâd stayed there in the past. We arrived around 12:30 am and had to pay through a drawer outside. ||||The room didnât look ANYTHING like what is pictured here. I canât really remember the decor except for the bright yellow paint that looked like it had been painted on a half inch thick by someone whoâd never painted before and the mildewed tile grout. ||||The carpet had frayed and there was a stretch across the room about 3/4 inch thick where it had just been pulled and left unraveled. ||||The bed sagged so bad to one side it felt like you were rolling off. The bottom sheet came off when I pulled the covers back to get in and there was a stained up, yellowed egg crate type foam pad under the sheet (uncovered by anything but on top of the mattress. The mattress was covered with a plastic sheet that felt like a shower curtain and was brittle and coming apart on the edges when I tried to tuck things back in. ||||The curtains were so thin that there was no way to really make the room dark but it wasnât a huge issue since several of the lights over the doors were out anyway. ||||The towels were small, thin and very rough. In fact, one I pulled out first had big grey splotchy stains on it like it had been used to clean something up at one time and when I held it up it was thread bare in the middle and one more bleaching was probably going to result in a large hole. (Which Iâm sure they wouldâve put back in the room anyway) I tossed it on the floor and tried another which wasnât much better. ||||I got to the lobby as breakfast was being put away so I donât really have anything to say about that. The lady was nice enough to get me a couple of things she had already taken out and that was fine.||||We stayed with a dog who slept in her own basket bed tied to the chair leg and never moved until we woke up and I took her out to the grass where she did her business, which I cleaned up and threw away In a trash can at a gas station because I couldnât find one outside there. ||||We were charged $95 for the night and weâre gone by 10:00 am. Then, to top it off, they called the lady I was driving and told us they were missing towels and wanted to know if we had them. Who wanted a stained up, nearly holy towel? Weâd tossed all of them in the floor by the tub. All that for $95 a night!||||We stayed at a much nicer hotel the following night for $30 more and got an actual mattress, not breakfast and clean towels (which we left there too)||||If I could give half a...
Read moreOur experience was horrible. We booked a room with 2 queen beds and a kitchenette. Upon check in we were put in a room with 1 bed and kitchenette. We went back to the front office to have the room corrected and the woman tried to argue telling me the room she put us in had two beds. After several minutes of back and forth she finally switched us rooms, this time 2 beds no kitchenette. It was the end of a long day so we weren't going to argue that further but the room windows did NOT lock, one was open when we got there, the curtains were transparent, there was a cockroach, and the shower had fuzzy mold in it. When we went back down to the office to bring these issues to their attention and request a refund the woman still tried to argue that we were wrong. We had to walk her to the room to show her the problems. She finally acknowledged them but then refused to ussue a refund. We contacted expedia who reached out to the property and were told they would issue a refund the next day. Over a week later there was no refund issued. We tried to contact the hotel but their phone lines were down. Reached back out to expedia who was also unable to reach the property. Eventually, we were able to reach the mananager who explained he's been on vacation for a week but that no manager has been present at the property since he's been gone and nobody else could authorize the refund. That in itself is baffling to me, but the complete lack of communication was...
Read moreAt check-in, the lady was very friendly. Service was great. The office looks kind of cozy and homely. And when we got to our room, it was very spacious and had lots of different surfaces all throughout the room. There was a mirror separate from the bathroom so that people could each get ready without interrupting the other. The shower had really great hot water. The AC was cold as cold could be... Then, we went over to the seafood restaurant. And everything we had was amazingly delicious. The service there was on point. I believe we got there not too long before closing time, and they still let us dine. They weren't impatient, or rushing us out, or anything just because of the time. Everybody was having a good time. Their mixed drinks, their specialty drinks, are to die for đ
A long time customer told us that the pool was a salt water pool... We got pretty excited... Only to find the pool is still empty (I'd already read several reviews where it says that the pool was empty) and I thought that the customer had already been there for the evening or a couple days prior, so I thought that meant that the pool had recently been cleaned and filled. But I was let down. So that's why I didn't do the five stars. I got my hopes up, and they were...
