After receiving my initial purchase of an extra firm mattress, I didn't like it - it was too hard. So, I decided to exchange it for an extra firm mattress with memory foam and coils after laying on one in the store in Benton Harbor. When this mattress was received, it was nothing like my trial visit to the store when I first laid on the mattress. The mattress I received appeared to be a recycled mattress - maybe returned by a former customer and repackaged to give the impression of a brand new mattress. The feel of it was nothing like the feel i got went i first laid on it at the store. Two weeks or so after sleeping on the mattress, I called to report my extreme disappointment and my desire to return the mattress. I was warned by Sam that i could only make one exchange. I told Sam that I'm not asking for another exchange, but a complete return. From the 1st day after receiving the memory foam mattress, I experienced a big difference from sleeping on one side of the bed versus another - the side of the bed closest to the wall was much like what I experienced in the store. The side closest to the opposite side was not firm at all! I told Sam that I was completely disappointed with the mattress which didn't seem brand new but recycled. True or not, I refuse to pay what I paid and be disappointed for the next ten years! I have advanced osteoporosis is my lower back and one of the things that makes it better is a good firm mattress. I have nothing but bad things to say about the customer service. Prior to my 1st exchange, I came into the store and asked Sam about a mattress that was advertised at a much lower price. Her only reply was, "I don't know anything about that." Really, is that what you call good customer service? I don't think so. So, although I have lost approximately $500 when trying to get the mattress I wanted, with delivery fees and the price difference between the 1st and 2nd mattress, and the restocking fee and pickup fee for the last mattress. Read moreAfter having a poor experience with a mattress company and ordering online (Latex for Less, be wary of them) I decided that regardless of how much I really don't like shopping in store I would need to bite the bullet and do it. After checking around online and seeing what places offered financing and had sales going on I eventually decided to go to Mattress Firm.
As soon as I entered the store I was immediately greeted by Jacob and Dylan. They were incredibly friendly and awesome people, I didn't feel uncomfortable or pressured at all while we talked. After telling Jacob what I was looking for price range, the type of mattress I was looking for, and my history of back, hip, and shoulder problems he immediately narrowed down my options to help keep me from being overwhelmed.
I was not rushed at all during this process. I tested out the mattress's he pointed out and talked with him and Dylan during that entire time. After informing them what happened with my current mattress (cat peed on it) Dylan immediately offered a waterproof mattress cover option to go with my purchase of my mattress to prevent this from happening again. I 100% agreed with the idea because I did not want to have to buy a new mattress after only having my other one for three years.
She also brought up the topic of pillows and I was hesitant at first, not because of anything she did but because of the budget I was working with. I do have several pillows I switch between constantly because of me flip flopping from back to side sleeping. But after trying out the one she recommended I kind of fell in love with it and originally I was going to just come back another time to get it.
Well Jacob worked some magic and helped bring the pillow down in cost, as well as the waterproof mattress cover, and helped bring down the cost of the delivery fee and it helped keep me in budget!
I highly recommend seeing them if you're searching for a new mattress and you're overwhelmed. They are very knowledgably people that took the time to listen to my needs and kept my budget in mind and made sure I was completely taken care of.

We were searching various websites for a new mattress and came to this site as the third check. Up popped a window for a CHAT, which I accepted and started to ask several questions and answer their questions... Our biggest "issue" was we live full-time in an RV and needed the new KING mattress to fit. Our measurements were slightly shorter, 4" in width, but the chat sales person assured me it would fit and if not they would provide a full refund at no charge. The chat sales person knew their products well and instilled confidence in our purchase. The mattress, Recharge Signature Select Hartfield 11.5" Luxury Firm Mattress, was already on sale, I received an additional 10% purchasing via chat, and I also received an additional Military discount. Delivery was also added, as well as free removal of our old mattress. Two days later, today, the delivery guys arrived within their 2-hour window. They were both extremely friendly and professional. I expressed my concerns about the fit and they said; "well let's see"... It fit perfectly!!! They took the old one out and left; total time here at the RV was ~20 minutes!
