I think what happened was, the staff are so non-committed to their job , and with no consequences to doing horribly even at what amounts to literally the easiest job in the western hemisphere, they just don't care. I usually order the same couple things on the menu that I've had many times, my favs, and to be honest they only mess up the order about half the time. But this last time they didn't even pretend to care about what they were doing for that minimum wage check. None of the items I received resembled the ordered items, except for the shell the "food" was wrapped in. The chalupa was indeed in a chalupa shell, but that shell was raw and there was simply ground beef and diced tomatoes in it. The 7-layer burrito had some wierd mix of sour cream and what passes for guacamole at Taco Bell, as well as having nacho cheese sauce and what seemed to be pinto beans. The quesarito had no spicy cheese sauce and again had a raw shell, and didn't seem to have any meat in it. I was the only person in the drive-thru so it's not like they could have given me the wrong order. They just really are that incompetent and lackadaisical. And obviously the management is OK with this, as you can read in other reviews, I am not the only person who gets this vibe from the slack-jawed, glassy-eyed people standing around in the building, mostly concerned with making sure they aren't doing anything at all above the very bare minimum required to just keep the job for another week, waiting for their shift to end so they can clock out. But they still have jobs. Is the fast-food labor market so tight that they just can't find anyone at all but the very bottom rung of middle-school dropouts to staff their business? I don't know, but I don't spend money here any more unless I'm drunk and it's the only place in Benton...
Read moreI have never had an order from this particular Taco Bell that was anywhere near satisfactory. The order is almost guaranteed to be wrong. There’s always either items missing or ingredients missing from the food. If you do ever order anything from here, don’t bother adding anything extra or special ordering anything. Want extra cheese? Sure they’ll charge you for it, but it won’t be there. Don’t want tomatoes? They’ll be there anyway. Anything you try to add will be on the receipt, but it won’t be on your food. The food that you do get, there will be barely anything in it. In all honesty, avoid getting anything from the Benton Harbor taco bell, it’s never going to be worth the money. We ordered taco bell through Uber eats. When the order was finished and was already being made, I asked which taco bell it was from. She didn’t know any better, but as soon as I saw it was coming from Benton harbor I knew it was going to be bad. I wasn’t wrong. My Crunchwrap supreme that was supposed to have extra lettuce and extra nacho cheese was almost flat. A pinch of all the normal ingredients, no extra anything. The other Crunchwrap (normal) was also barely filled. Burritos were torn open on the sides, about half the size of the same items from most other Taco Bell’s in the area (excluding st. Joseph, they’re not much better). Myself, and everyone I know personally that have ordered anything from this Taco Bell have had nothing but bad experiences. Going in person isn’t any better. Lobby, drive thru, delivery, it’s all bad. You want your food made correctly? Want it to be filled with the ingredients like it’s supposed to be? Get it from...
Read moreMy little sister (12) and I went through the drive through and everything was going fine. We asked for two drinks some nachos and a couple of other things. We pulled around and a woman named Victoria gave us the food, but almost forgot the drinks. We asked her for them and she shoved mine to me. Upon asking for my sister's, she said I didn't order it and I said "Okay, sorry. I thought I did but must have forgotten" although I know I said it. We pulled to check to see if our food was all there and she forgot the nachos, so we went inside and decided to buy a drink while we were at it. It took the receipt and bag of food in and Victoria snatched the receipt out of my hand and asked what the issue was. I told her that my nachos were missing and she slammed the receipt on the counter, rolled her eyes and went to the back to get them for me without putting any gloves on. She shoved my nachos at me. When I asked if we could PURCHASE a large drink for my sister, she slammed a small on the counter and yelled at us to leave the store. My sister got upset because of this rude behavior, but not once did either of us raise our voice or have an attitude. I work in the fast food business, so I know how rude some people can be and try to find patience. I tried to call to see if I could talk to a manager and express our concerns and no one ever answered the phone. We love taco bell, sad to say we won't be going to that...
