Red Roof Inn Berea — Hotel in Berea

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!Got in room friday evening and seemed good by appearance. Wife took shoes off about ten minutes later she was sitting on bed feet propped up and I noticed her feet were black on bottom, asked her if she was outside walking around she stated no. So I Started to investigate,????? Very dirty floor very dirty notice in picture small peice of toilet paper used with water only to wipe small area of room ( notice wet from dry in picture) So I figured if that is the only M problem well let them know ti keep an eye out and move on from it. As I was going outside several times through the night noticed our next door neighbor letting dog out through door and shutting door on leash so they didn't have to take the dog out themselves to relieve itself instead well let it piss on the sidewalk so everybody else has to deal with it while this person is sitting on there you know what and the dog is doing its business right in front of the hotel!!!!!!! Told management about the floor and the lady ( who I'm told is the wife of owner) responded to me(very rude ) that she can't watch the people who clean the rooms!!!!! So I knew at that point why tell her about the dog incident ???? If they dont care about the cleanliness of the room why would they care about the dog doing its business right in front of the hotel rooms where you can smell it walking to and from your room!!!!!!( there is also lava rock between the sidewalk and parking lot ) that is where the dog enjoyed doing the ####2 at!!!!!!!!! Never saw person who was in the room but the smell when door opened to let dog out was terrible as was the dog I could smell him ten feet away!!!!!! Good price but but after calling corporate and there answer was back to me (while I sat on hold for ten minutes for them to call Berea Red Roof Inn) wasthe owner stated he didn't get any complaints and if he had about the dog then he would have corrected it and likewise with room we could have been moved to another room. No bbn thanks Red Roof Inn Goodbye well take our $$$$$$ elsewhere if that is the way you treat your customers Your customer service...

My wife and I arrived at 2am after driving 10 hours and was met by a very nice front desk clerk. The check in was quick and hassle free which was very appreciated after being on the road all day.

The property was beautiful, clean, right off the highway and easy to get to. The lobby was clean and you could tell that they take good care of the property. They do need to trim hedges a bit better by the walkways leading from the parking to the rooms.

We got a non smoking king bed room on the first floor (Room 147). The room was very clean and well stocked with everything you could need for an overnight stay. The bed was clean, smelled fresh laundered and was very comfortable.

The only cons to the place are that the bathroom was a little small but typical for a hotel and the water pressure in the shower was not great but was acceptable.

I did read the reviews before we booked and noticed in 2020 they had some bad reviews but that was during a remodel is what the desk clerk had said. They put a lot of time and effort into making this place amazing and did a great job of it.

All in all it was a great place to stay at a reasonable price and my wife and I would stay here again...

The Red Roof in Berea, KY was quite perfect. The room was immaculate with lovely updated design and fixtures. Absolutely spotless and clean, both in the sleeping area and bathroom. It was so nice to have a motel experience (with drive-up) exterior doors and such a nice room. This isn't always the case, but here it definitely is! The manager and staff were so friendly and accommodating, very much the example of southern hospitality. We felt welcome and appreciated as guests. We ended up staying three nights, rather than just one. We even drove 40 miles daily to our final destination just south of the hotel in order to stay there - instead of getting a hotel room in our destination location. The local people and businesses were also pleasant and friendly.
