We have been customers, of this restaurant, for YEARS! We have had a few issues before, but after tonight, we will NOT be back! Tonight, October 2024, ant anpproxi 5:15pm. There was a total of 2 people working; a server & a cook. When we arrived, we told her we were ready to order, because we KNEW what we wanted and didn’t need a menu. After placing our order, the server came back to our table and advised us that we could not SHARE a meal w/ an extra plate. As she apologized, she then asked if we wanted 2 Bento boxes! First of all, times are hard for EVERYONE these days! We CHOSE your establishment over ALL of the other Berea, restaurants. You should’ve been grateful & thankful for the business, & left it at that! Secondly, no one is going to tell us what we can & cannot order! We were JUST in there, last week and shared the chicken bento box ($20) & not a word was said to us! It’s a rather LARGE & expensive meal, so it’s not like we ordered a side of rice! Third, as we advised the server, we will never be back! You can bet your bottom dollar on THIS one! Go for the bento box...
The food is very hit or miss. What they did right: the quality of the bento box was good and plentiful. It was more than enough for a hearty meal. The edamame was a hit with the table, and the donuts were fun. Tempura coating was light and crisp. The sweet potato slice was a little thin, but cooked nicely.
The miso is basically just broth with scant seaweed...no tofu, no vegetables, no mushrooms...
No ginger dressing for the iceberg lettuce. Not much more than a couple of cucumbers to go with the lettuce, but that was fresh.
The sushi was oddly sweet, the salmon in the sushi was an chopped? texture, and the tuna wasn't particularly fresh. The ratio of vegetables to rice was off. The wasabi was a little lump of green that wasn't soft or mixable. It looked like a pebble. There was no extra dish to mix wasabi and soy sauce for dipping. If you are accustomed to traditional sushi, you will be disappointed.
They clearly have access to fresh vegetables, and they do some things really well. Next time, I will skip the sushi and focus on other options.

Don't go anywhere else!!! Service was absolutely outstanding. We had been struggling with doordash for half an hour and gave up... called the restaurant 20 minutes before closing time and apologized profusely for the late order. The time of the order did not matter to them. Their service, food, and presentation, all of it was still perfect!! There's nothing worse than craving a special dinner and getting it, only to be disappointed. THIS DID NOT DISAPPOINT. We ordered the filet mignon bento box. The steak was cooked medium/medium plus, so juicy, and the most tender hibachi steak I've ever had. The flavor was outstanding. I have no other words. And the amount of food??? My husband is a large body builder framed man... and he couldn't even finish half of it. It's all the bang for your buck, and more. Don't waste your time going anywhere else!!...
