Good morning Google Family. My very first time visiting this location of Best Western. When I arrived here, after working out at the Edge Fitness gym in Greenwich, I needed to use the rest room. They have rest rooms in the lobby, a single, one for women and one for men. Going back to the lobby, I asked if rooms were available and the young male associate said yes and I asked the price. He said $186.00. That was not the price on Google. Google needs to update their listings. I should have called first to ask the price. That was my mistake. I asked for my senior discount. I was not at all happy about the quoted price because Days Inn was cheaper and the Best Western in Blakeslee - Pocono were much cheaper. I later learned that this hotel, while nice, is not worth the quoted price of $186.00 for one night. So unreasonable and definitely over priced was this establishment. My room number was 113, which was nice, being on the first floor. I paid only before I was too exhausted to drive to another hotel. Also in the future, I will reserve my hotel stays and I will call the hotel directly to ask the prices before booking. I will book on Best Western rewards in the future. This was an unplanned vacation. I wasn't sure if I could make the trip. Then I proceeded to use the apparatus to transport my belongings to my room. When I returned the apparatus to the lobby, I ran into these travelers from a church. They were here for a convention. I was speaking with some of them. They seemed very nice. Here is a comparison/ breakdown of Best Western Blakeslee - Pocono and this Best Western Danbury/Bethel hotel 1) No carpet here - Blakeslee had carpet on the floors 2)No microwave in room, I was told I could use the microwave in the lobby, Blakeslee had a microwave in the room 3) No shower mat in the bathroom, Blakeslee had a shower mat in the bathroom 4) One bed king size with a couch, since this is a suite; Blakelees had two beds - queen size. 5)No pool or sauna; Blakelee had a pool and sauna with towels at the pool 6)Continental breakfast every day from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. Blakeslee was 7 am to 10 am every day. 7)Two sinks in the room. Blakeslee had one sink in the bathroom 8) Desk phone did not work. Blakeslee desk phone did work. 9)Ice chest with glasses. Blakeslee didn't have a ice chest in the room 10) Clock radio in both hotels 11) Here, you get two keys; Blakeslee, one key 12) Here, in the refrigerator, there is no ledge to hold your drinks, you can put them there, but they can fall out if you are not paying attention. Blakeslee, there is a ledge and grate to hold your drinks 13) Both hotels did not have a gym. 14) Both hotels had tissues in the bathroom 15) Both hotels had a TV with remote 16) Both hotels have two trash cans. 17) Both hotels have coffee makers, with decaf coffee and regular coffee with creamer and sugar 18) Check out time here is 11 AM; Blakeslee is 12 noon. I asked for a blanket and I was given one. Also I was given a blanket at Blakeslee. The Best Western Danbury/Bethel is in my opinion, grossly over priced and unreasonable. They do not have enough amenities to charge such a huge amount of $186.00 with the senior discount added. Way too expensive in my opinion. I will never stay at this location again. Blakeslee-Pocono, is a much better hotel with more of the amenities that people like and their prices were reasonable, I paid $113.76, which is a significant difference from $186.00 with the senior discount added. I would not hesitate to stay at Best Western Blakeslee again. Don't forget to sign up for Best Western rewards. I am signed up. Also, have a blessed day and don't forget to work out, be healthy, fit and Fabulous!!! I wanted to add that I detested that there was no carpet on the floor. I have never been to a hotel that did not have carpet and I have travelled all over the world. They did give me a receipt, they asked if I wanted one and I said yes. Clearly this location of Best Western dropped the Ball!!!!!! They did not include my senior discount but the male employee said he did.

I was in town for a funeral for my step mother and my experience with this hotel was horrible. Upon checking in, they assigned me a room and then changed it as I was carrying my luggage in with my family due to the first room having been smoked in. Then, there were other small issues with a night shift front desk associate not being very helpful and rude but the worst problem was the bedbugs pictured here. I felt itchy from the first night and did have a couple bites but I dismissed it as a rash or spider bite. Then I saw this on the morning of checkout in the bed my children had just slept in. I loaded my bags in my car as I was late for the funeral. I then proceeded to the front desk to address the situation but nobody was there. I rang the bell for a while but nobody came. I left for the funeral and called customer service later when I could to try to get some type of resolution. When customer service contacted the hotel, they denied all of it. They were also supposed to then call and contact me directly. They called, I answered they sat quiet and then hung up. I called back, it rang several times and then they picked up and hung up. They then updated my file that they couldn't get in touch with me. When I called customer service back and informed them of this update, the hotel "called" again the following day and it rang a half time and then they hung up and told customer service they tried again. I tried to let them resolve this before this review but they refused. I also caught the bug and have it in an empty water bottle for anybody who's interested...

I have two children who are on travel teams, so I have stayed in my share of small-town basic hotels, so I don't expect to check into a two-star hotel and receive five-star treatment. However, this hotel was absolutely awful--probably the worst in its category. From the tiny, crowded lobby to the strange design that makes all noises from the reception/lobby area carry all the way to the third floor, from its generally rundown appearance to the terrible condition of the room, it gave off the aura of desperation and misery. The bathroom door lock was broken (and the handles crudely reattached without the actual lock); there was mold on the bathroom ceiling, the sink was cracked, the door paint was scratched and peeling, the beds didn't look fresh, the only armchair in the room had some visible and unsavory-looking stain in the middle of the seat. And the cherry on top was our next-door neighbor who literally kept the TV on at full volume from 9 PM last night through this morning, when we left.

I picked this hotel due to being the best value but there was my mistake. I checked in at begining of checkin time. No problems, the employee at desk was wonderful. I wasnt to my room when i noticed problems. 1) very dated building. There are no sprinklers anywhere, the firealarm only is for the hallways, not the rooms, fire alarm pull stations are only at the ends of the hall 2) walls, ceiling, floors all looked a bit old 3) it was cool in the building, hotels are normalle comfortabely warm. I opened the room door and found two light switches on the wall. The first switch turned on the bulb above the door. The second switch did nothing. The floor was plain tile, ICE COLD TILE. I needed to wear my shoes the entire time. Even in just socks the floor was too cold. The room heat was not on so the room was only around 60. I found the lights and turned them on and found repairs had been done in one corner of the room. Very budget job of making the repair look good again. I turned the heat on and set to 90 just to see how well it operated. Only warm air came out. I started the heat at 4pm and it only hit about 68-70 at about 1am. I ended up standing infront of the heater for hours just trying to stay warm in the room. The tv was old and dated, only a 1080p. Not even a cheap 4k tv. It was so old it cudnt accept a usb drive with old movies on it. The fridge and microwave was budget but worked. The iron and ironing board was nice. The hair dryer was also nice since I used it, for 20mins on high, to help heat the room. The toilet paper was low grade 1ply see through. The shower and sink only put of warm water, not hot. I dont expect scalding water but i do expect when i run a shower on just hot that water vapor fills the room. Nope just warm water. The shower plumbing looked like it was installed by an apprentice junior high student. The beds and pillow were nice but there was only one thin sheet on each bed. Not even enough to be warm. The sound in the hotel is awful. I could hear doors all the way down the hall well into the night. The smoke/carbon monoxide detector was made for a residential basement. I stayed for hours until I was so uncomfortable that I had to check out at early am. I told the night worker I was very uncomfortable in the room and needed to check out. He never even asked why I was leaving or if there was anything the hotel could do. He just mumbled and checked me out, or so I thought. The next afternoon I checked my account and found that I was still checked in. I called the hotel and inquired why I was still checked in. I explained everything to the day desk employee. He checked records and found that I was on cctv checking out and should have already been checked out. He successfully checked me out. He also did not ask why I had left or if there was a problem with the room. I received the one night invoice seconds after he checked me out. I would not pick this...

Very Dissatisfied. We have been lied to and treated terribly by A manager here with red hair (Very Unprofessional). We chose the Best Western because they offered a "Rewards points" program where you gain points for every night stayed, and for Laundry onsite. The points program was "2x the points" when we began our stay and you are supposed to be able to redeem them for free nights of stay. We have been at this Hotel almost 2 months and they are telling us we don't have enough points for 1 free night, yet other guests who have stayed here for shorter periods of time do receive the reward. The amount of points they are telling us we have do not match up with what their offer states. As soon as we checked in they also told us there is no Laundry onsite amenity as well. We have paid our bill every week for our stay (overpaying to make sure we don't have to go to the desk every night). We have given the hotel so far $3,578 for a little less than 2 months of stay and the Red headed manager threatened to call the police on us because we had to pay for Tonight's stay. We told her we would be going to get the money Today (Which we did) and she responded with telling us we had to remove all our items from the room while we go get the money or else she would call the police. Aside from CT state law stating that once a person or person(s) have been a resident for over 30 days they would have to be lawfully evicted in a court of law. We made another overpayment tonight to ensure that we are paid through the next week without issue. With all the money we've paid and what good guests we have been, I don't understand why we are being treated so poorly by this "manager". Now I have to wait until Tuesday for their customer service line to open up so that I may call and fight for my 1 free night we should have accumulated in points. Ridiculous. Also, main heater for the room doesn't work to...
