I am very disappointed with Wyndham Brand Properties. In recent years, I have found them in disrepair and poorly managed. I take this very personally as I once was the proud owner of a Ramada Inn Resort Property. Up until last week, I had never stayed at a Microtel Inn & Suites. Upon arriving, I came to find the desk clerk behind a glass enclosure. One might think this was due to covid, but I would beg to differ as I have stayed at other Wyndham Properties that had such enclosure only to find that they were housing homeless people and needed them for the protection of their staff. This did not seem to be the case at this property, thought I only stayed one night. I was assigned a room on the second floor, but the property has no elevators and I had told them in advance that I have mobility issues. The desk clerk told me that the property was booked, but was able to find me to a room on the main floor. When I entered the room, I was taken back. The room was not cleaned properly. The only two chairs in the room were dirty and had crumbs on them. There were crumbs, dust and a condom rapper on the floor. The garbage can was unemptied. The carpeting in the room was dirty, frayed and stained, as were the walls, but you would probably not notice this as the room had very poor lighting. The cloth cabinet had only two hangers and a dirty ironing board that smelled. The bathroom mirror was delaminating and one of the soap bottles that was once attached to the tub wall was on the floor. The bathroom ceiling had mold growing on it. The room curtains were dirty and partially detached and the wand to close them was on the dirty window bench seat. The room had no draws to put clothing and the cubbies were not clean. They had one faded picture (artwork) on the wall that was hung to high. The wall paint was chipped and pealing as was the doorframe. The sheets on the beds appeared to be clean as were the towels in the bathroom, but who would really know as the room was so poorly lit. The lamp between the beds did not have a USB port to connect a phone for charging. The outlets in the lamp were worn and not making good contact preventing me from plugging in my own charger. I was staying at the property to attend a wedding in the area. When I left my room at 3:30 pm, the television in the adjacent room was blaring. When I got back to the room at 11:30 pm, it was still blaring. We notified the front desk clerk who went to the room asking the occupant to lower their television, but the noise continue for hours, fortunately a brought my ear plugs. After reading in the bed for about fifteen minutes I started to itch so bad that I had to take a Benadryl. Even though the sheets looked clean, they might have not been or I might have been allergic to the detergent used to clean them. Hotels are supposed to use hypoallergenic detergents. I blame Wyndham (The parent company) for the condition of this property and there other properties. Wyndham owns many brands such as: AmericInn by Wyndham, Baymont by Wyndham, Club Wyndham, Days Inn by Wyndham, Dazzler by Wyndham, Dolce Hotels and Resorts by Wyndham, Esplendor by Wyndham, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, Howard Johnson by Wyndham, La Quinta by Wyndham, Margaritaville Vacation Club, Microtel by Wyndham, Origin Hotel, Ramada by Wyndham, Registry Collection Hotels, Shell Vacations Club, Super 8 by Wyndham, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, Travelodge by Wyndham, TRYP by Wyndham, Wingate by Wyndham, WorldMark By Wyndham, Wyndham Alltra, Wyndham Garden, Wyndham Grand and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. I have stay at more than half the properties that I listed and it is my belief that Wyndham has been irresponsible in managing their properties. My advice to anyone considering accommodations is to avoid any properties that are associated with Wyndham. I truly say this with great sadness as I once owned a Wyndham related property.

This hotel is clean and newer. There are only two floors to this hotel so there is no elevator. No one was at the desk when we arrived. They have it set up so that you need to press a bell and someone comes out. We had tried calling when we were on our way because we were a little early. I let the phone ring and ring and ring. I hung up and tried again. And I tried one more time. At that time we had pulled into the parking lot. The front door was a jar and didn't close all the way. The door at the far end of the first floor hallway, which is an entrance from the parking lot, did not have a swipe pad! It had been removed and wires were hanging. The door was unlocked and anyone could come in. This is not acceptable. Security when staying in a hotel should be top priority. When we got to our room I tried calling down to the front desk because we needed something in our room. Again I tried at least four times to reach someone at the desk and to no avail. My husband finally went down to the front desk to speak with someone. He told the front desk staff that we couldn't get a hold of anyone. He apologized to my husband. The desk staff person was very accommodating and friendly when we did make contact. Our room was clean and neat. Your flagpole looks bare. A nice American flag would add just the touch! Please fix that security risk....otherwise the hotel was good.

Checked in late night, gentleman at desk was polite and efficient. The plastic shield around the desk is a bit off putting. Conflicting check out information on two different signs. The first thing we noticed upon entering our room was the horrible dog smell coming from the window bench seat, although overall everything looked clean. Pros: Clean linens, no signs of mold (specifically checked fan unit), no signs of bugs/rodents Cons: poor lighting, loud fan unit, no coffee maker Free breakfast is only a continental (no proteins) consisting of cereals, small bagels/muffins, fruit, coffee and juice. Convenient location near 84. It was ok for what we needed and we'd stay again.

Bad experience. Was coming to town had plans with a friend who lives near hotel. Made reservations 2 months before that they held with a CC, for Fri and Sat night stay. Got there at 10:30 after a long day of travel/convention center. At check in, AJ pulled up my reservation and then said I needed to put my card in CC machine, so I did, and it said approved and I could remove. Then, he tells me my card was declined. I said absolutely can't be, I def had money in my bank account. So, I went on my bank website, and sure enough, the $262.00 came out of my account (well charge on hold in my account) but either way charge successfully. I told him the charge came out, and he said we'll my computer says declined. He printed out paper, and sure enough it did. HOWEVER- the card I used to hold reservation was NOT the same card I paid with, and in fact the card I reserved with actually didn't have enough funds on it so of course it declined. But I said to him, you had me put my card in machine to pay, which I did and it approved, but your computer shows declined because you tried to bill a different card. Why was I paying in card machine, yet you were trying to bill card that held reservation? Either way, he kept saying card declined, it's not paid, etc. I showed him what my bank account showed, the charge for the 2 night stay. Either way, he said it's not paid. I asked for manager, but wasnt there. Meanwhile, I'm out of town, now have a charge in my bank account for a room I didn't get, and still need to find a hotel to stay at. But being that Microtel already charged my card, I certainly didn't have enough funds to pay for ANOTHER 2 nights at a different hotel. Called my bank sat morning explained what happened, they were confused because my 262.00 was defintely on hold in my bank account, and said to come in Monday so we can fix this and file dispute for charge, etc. So, I ended up staying fri night at my friends, and Saturday night stayed at a way more modern, clean and friendly hotel 7 minutes away. This guy was so worried I was trying to stay at their run-down hotel for free, and all the while i was just trying to understand why he would charge my card on file AND make me pay on the credit card machine as well. Obviously the credit card machine doesn't communicate with computer so they need to fix that. Or, have someone working the desk that is competent enough to know what they are doing because he was clueless and not the least bit helpful. Anyhow my friend said there is a reason why you weren't meant to stay at that hotel, and she is probably right. It certainly wasn't warm, clean updated and I was glad it didn't work out. Now i just have to get my money back for this. Anyhow, Microtel TRAIN YOUR...
