UPDATE: The owners, from Minneapolis area, gave us a full refund for this stay. Much appreciated! Why would you put the only two renters next to each other when I specifically asked if the rooms were smoke free; knowing your relative in the next room smoked. He did so right outside our room and the wind carried the smoke through the creases in our door repeatedly. Plus the sink was fully clogged and the tub drained slow... wasn't there a review along that order months ago? Who wants to stand in water when showering? So it never actually correctly fixed; sad. We called about the clog but when she came to "fix" it the next day (showing up late) we had already decided to leave. We paid top dollar for two nights but only stayed one. Also, there was a smear of something on the bathroom floor when we arrived; I just covered it with a towel. Please put the wifi password, the hotel phone number for emergencies, and how to actually work the tv somewhere in the room! Ugh. Also, understand I don't usually leave bad reviews but this was an absolutely horrible stay and we just wanted out! At least we didn't get the next room over that my sibling (stayed the second night) said had smelly urine stained sheets on one bed! It says in the reviews that the hotel was to be renovated awhile back; guess not where...
Read moreGreat location on the trails but the motel is very dated and shabby. We were in an upstairs room (apparently the downstairs rooms have had some work and are a bit better) and the only thing I will say is it was fairly clean. The bedspreads had stains on them and the pillows were awful. We actually drove a half hour to a WalMart after the first night to buy pillows for the remainder of our stay. The towels are old, thin, and dingy. The bath towels are so small it's not even a towel, and they have a note that if your stain one they will charge you 15.00. If you bought them at a thrift store they would be .50 cents. The lighting in the room was dim. Sink didn't drain and it took forever to get hot water. Shower was a joke if you like any kind of water pressure. There was a flat screen TV on the wall that was maybe a 32"???? Probably smaller. There are restaurants and such close by so that's a plus and as I said if you are there for ATV/UTV or snowmobiling it's on the Tuscobia Trail. It's a place to sleep and...
Read moreWe had stayed at the hotel a few times in the past and the experience wasn't the worst. but this last time we stayed the first thing as we were checking in we wanted a ground floor room and when we asked she told us they were all booked but there were only three vehicles in the parking lot so instead of giving us the room we wanted she said she gave us a discount, which we really didn't care about. Then the next day we found out from the manager that they had rooms available on the ground floor. From staying there in the past I know there are blow dryers in other rooms and I had to ask for one in our room. Next time I will bring one along if we plan on staying there again, which we probably won't. also, the shampoo they supply doss not lather up and even clean the hair. Maybe you should check out products first before putting them in the rooms. OK last but not least, the bedspread smelled soo bad and believe me it wasn't from us. Just wondering how often things get washed around there....
