I've stayed here twice in the past month or so. The first time was a positive experience. The night attendant was friendly and checking in was easy. The room was very clean and generally quiet. Everything in the room looked recently updated. The TV signal doesn't seem to be high-def, but that's not super-important. The Wi-Fi worked. Compared to other places I've stayed since the start of the pandemic, it was nice to have an actual continental breakfast (not a frozen sandwich and a juice box in a brown paper bag). Nothing special, but English muffins, a few types of bread to toast, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, bacon, some cereal, yogurt, apples, juice, and coffee.
Checkout was easy. I was a bit miffed that I was not allowed to use my laptop in the breakfast room (equipped with outlets and charging ports) after they stopped serving breakfast. An employee asked me to hang out someplace else, and it then sounded like she participated in a video meeting. It's a great space, and being able to use it to get some work done would be a nice amenity.
I came back about 3 weeks later, and the gentleman at the front desk was still friendly. Check-in was still easy. However, this time, the room was pretty filthy. There were crumbs, dust, and paper fragments on the floor in both the main room and bathroom. Walking without socks on felt gritty and tracked debris across the floor. The bathroom also had hairs on the floor and stuck to the wall in the shower. When I closed the bathroom door, I saw there was blood spattered over it at head height, with what looked like a finger-shaped smear of blood. My best guess is someone had a nosebleed, sneezed on the door, wiped their face, and then used that hand to push the door shut. There was a stain of dubious origin on the curtains. The refrigerator was also making a fairly loud and continuous sound. When I opened it, the entire freezer section was a solid block of ice - it clearly hadn't been de-iced in a very long time. I lifted the refrigerator out of its cubby and unplugged it for some peace and quiet. I probably should have asked for another room, but the sheets looked clean and I was tired.
In the morning, I awoke to a bug flying around the room, though it did not appear to be a cockroach. The breakfast was decent, as before. I mentioned my concerns to the front desk attendant; she apologized and said I should have let them know so they could have moved me to another room.
Both times, the pool was closed. I didn't see it, but I expect the exercise room is as well. The website says they're open, but I did glance at reviews that indicated neither was, and that is still the case.
For whatever it's worth, there do appear to be some issues with less than savory types here, as well. As I was checking out the first time, four police officers arrived at the office. It sounded as if the maid found a room occupied when the guests were supposed to be checked out. By itself, not too concerning, though the police did not seem surprised to be there.
I have a monthly business meeting in the area, but I'll try somewhere else next time. My first visit was good, but it seems this location is very hit or miss, and the misses are pretty big. I don't like blood and bugs. I also hate noise. And if I wanted to walk on grit, I'd spend some time around my cat's litterbox.
If you do stay here, make sure to book online. The rate is a good bit lower than if you book at...
Read moreOur short trip to New Jersey turned into an absolute nightmare because of this establishment. I cannot overstate how disgusting, unsanitary, and poorly maintained this hotel is. From the moment we arrived just after midnight, we were greeted by stink bugs crawling on the walls, beds, and even our bodies. The situation was so unbearable that we had to keep the lights on and take watch shifts during the night out of fear of more bugs appearing. We checked out at 6 AM, unable to endure even a few more hours in such deplorable conditions.
We were initially assigned a room on the second floor, which was filthy beyond belief, and switching to a third floor room made no difference. The same cobwebs hung in every corner, walls showed clear signs of leaks and stains, and the bed sheets looked wrinkled and uncleaned. The bathroom was so small and unsanitary that taking a shower was simply not an option. Even outside, the property was in complete disrepair. Specifically, trash left exposed, leaking washers and dryers, and dirty, neglected stairways that made walking up to the room unpleasant and unsafe.
This was not just a disappointing experience, it was traumatizing. No traveler, family, or human being should be subjected to such appalling conditions. The lack of cleanliness and care reflects not only negligence but a complete disregard for guest health and safety.
I strongly urge anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. For the sake of your comfort and well-being do not stay here under any circumstances. This establishment should not be in operation until it undergoes a full inspection and complete renovation.
Update Since the owner on 10/14/2025 has responded and insinuated I am a liar; I called this hotel on 10/14/2025 at 1:57pm. In first speaking with the owner he replied saying he doesn't know who Chandi is (who my family and I were told that is his wife who is also the owner). I recorded him and stated that we could handle this in a civil manner. He stated my claims of my family being moved from room 229 to another room 333 were false; which is inaccurate. Needless to say once he heard the recording, he stated he was getting off the phone. I suggest others take their claims to the health department. *
*10/14/2025 at 2:10pm in trying to reach the General Manager once again, after being hung up on by the receptionist to talk with them to resolve this matter; they stated they would call the police on me for harassment. Then the manager calls my phone and is clearly talking with a third party repeating my phone number aloud.
Very sad, that this is how an establishment...
Read moreDo yourself a favor and skip this place. I stayed here 5 years ago and it was nice and clean, now I went back and the place is a DUMP. I can say this after experiencing 3 rooms in one visit ROOM 1- Carpet smelled strongly of URINE in-between the beds, microwave was old timer style ancient. TV was grimey and wouldn't accept HDMI input that I plugged in, remote was grimey and hardly worked. Got moved to another room because of the urine. ROOM 2- Lights didn't come on when I came in, had to use my flashlight to find the lamp to turn it on, no alarm clock, phone didn't work. Bed felt broken? I just sank into it immediately and it had no bounce back at all it was like the boxspring was missing. People next to me were smoking pot outside my room and arguing loudly, asked to move because my whole room smelled like pot whenever the AC kicked in. Room 3- Much better than the others but still bad. Again lights didn't come on with master switch so I had to find the lamp in the dark. Attached pictures are from this room. Floor felt grimey/sticky and when I got in the shower my feet were BLACK WITH DIRT, so I wiped the floors down FOUR TIMES with a soapy wash cloth. That washcloth in the sink is after the 4th time, the first few times the cloth came up completely blackened. Enhanced cleaning procedures for COVID is a JOKE and a LIE here. One of the lamps doesn't work, TV is DISGUSTING notice weird white splatter on picture, sheets had weird particles on them, showerhead has obvious mildew/mold on it and there's piles of gross dirt including finger or toenails in the corners. Floor is also falling apart (but at least it's not URINE CARPET like the first room) Sister was in the room next door and said there was yellowed TOILET PAPER sitting in the corner of her bathroom and the floors were gross in her room too. Staff was very apologetic every time they moved me but I will NEVER EVER be staying here again. Edit: After posting this review owner did call and send a maintenance man to replace the shower head with a new one, but still worst hotel...
