I wouldnât give them this one star if it was possible. Donât go to this shop â youâll waste your money, ruin your mood, and lose your time. This is the worst shop Iâve ever seen. In such a big shop, thereâs always only one person working, and even he doesnât understand how to fix a truck. The staff donât know how to talk to customers properly â they are aggressive and have no respect for others.
I went there to make oil and filters change. They made it and told me to start the truck. I tried it wouldnât start. They primed the pump and added fuel to the filter, and the truck started with difficulty, but shut down after a few seconds. The second time, they refilled the filter with fuel and pumped it again â and again, it barely started after I held the key for 10â15 seconds and pressed the gas pedal. They said everything is fine, âpay and youâre good to go.â
I wanted to pay with Apple Pay, but it turns out they donât accept it, so I went back to get my card. As I approached the truck, I heard a strange whistling noise coming from it. I went back and told them the truck wasnât running right. They came to check and asked me to shut the truck off and start it again. We did that, and once again, it wouldnât start. Thatâs when I realized something was really wrong. But they kept trying to convince me that everything was normal and there was nothing wrong.
I disagreed and told them my truck was running perfectly when I arrived. I understand that after oil and filter change it might be a little hard to start, but not to the point where I have to refill the filter and prime the pump three times just to get it started. The noise kept getting louder and louder. I searched online and saw that the cause could be improper filter installation or air in the fuel system.
I asked them to recheck their work. They said no, everything was done correctly and claimed. Then they said the problem is with the crankshaft â thatâs where the noise was coming from. I asked, âWhat about the fact that the truck wonât start?â After thinking for a moment, they said, âYour fuel pump isnât working. Itâs not related to our work â we just changed the oil.â
I asked them to double-check the filters to make sure everything was okay. Instead of checking, they kept trying to find any excuse to say it wasnât their fault that the truck had some other problem.
There was a woman at the front desk who told me that at midnight, another mechanic would come in, and heâd be the first to check my truck. The mechanic arrived, so I went to him and explained the situation, since the woman was no longer there. He said, âIâm not doing anything. You have to wait until morning.â After I explained everything, he agreed to take a look. He diagnosed that there was still air in the system and that maybe the guy who changed the oil installed the wrong filter. He said heâd bring a computer to run a diagnostic test and went to get it.
He took a long time, so I went to see what was happening. I saw him changing clothes and getting ready to leave. I told him, âYou said you were bringing the computer. Iâm still waiting.â He said, âI canât. Youâll have to wait until morning.â
For 15 hours, the shop refused to recheck their work and fix their mistake, saying that the manager would come in the morning and decide what to do.
In the morning, their manager â who, for all I know, might have had a fight with his wife â showed up in a bad mood and acted aggressively. When I met him, he immediately said, âPay for our work and take your truck to the dealer. Itâs not our fault â we did our job. Just pay and leave.â Otherwise we will call tow truck and you will pay for them.
I took the truck and went to another shop for inspection. When they opened the fuel water separator filter, it turned out the rubber gasket was not new at all â it was even torn in two places. They installed a new one, and the truck is now working perfectly.
So where are all those diagnoses about my truck having a bad fuel pump and crankshaft problems? They donât care about you and your truck....
Read moreWorst service center ever. They had people with only 2weeks training change tires on my truck and they dented all of my center hub covers, As if they used a hammer to get them off. I arrived at before they opened at 8am and was told I'd be seen by 4pm for my PM service. I finally pull into a bay by 6pm only to find out that no one had ordered any of the filters for my truck this was on a Friday, So I had to wait until Monday morning for them to get them. I was told since I live a hour away that they would have them by the time I got back to them on Monday at 11am and that I would be able to pull right into a bay and be taken care of as soon as I arrived. I arrived and was able to pull into a bay. Only to have my truck sit for over 2hrs with no one touching it. I spoke with the manager Ian who was very nasty and disrespectful, who finally had 2 people do the PM on my truck. I didn't get out of the service center until well after 11pm and then drove less than 3miles and my starts shaking violently and just cuts off in the middle of the highway. Where I had to spend $600 to get it towed back because they didn't prime the fuel filters and also forgot to put the o-rings on them. Both the tow truck driver and the 2 T/A mechanics stated that the o-rings were missing and that the fuel filters were dry which caused my breakdown. After being towed back to T/A I find out that the people who PM'D my truck were in training and had been there only 2weeks and weren't supervised while working on my truck. I had to spend most of the next day trying to get the situation resolved, I finally had to speak with the T/A'S district manager over the phone to get it rectified to my satisfaction. Other then the service manager Ian, everyone was very appallgetic and helpful Asia and Mercedes and the 2 techs that came out when I broke down. There's to much employee turnover and inexperienced staff that will one day cause someone's engine to be damaged beyond repair and then needing a replacement. If I could give 0 stars or negative stars I would have. If you don't want serious problems with your truck please!!! Stay far away from this T/A service center in...
Read moreWalking in, the place had a certain rustic charm, all checkered tablecloths and dim lighting. The server who greeted us was genuinely lovely â warm smile, seated us quickly, and was attentive throughout the evening. Honestly, the service was the only bright spot in what turned out to be a culinary catastrophe. Now, let's talk about the food, specifically the "hearty" beef stew, which felt more like a lukewarm betrayal. The beef itself was tough and dry, like it had been simmering since the dawn of time and had given up on being tender somewhere around the Jurassic period. The broth was thin and watery, lacking any real depth of flavor. It tasted vaguely of sadness and regret. Accompanying this tragic stew were the potatoes. Oh, the potatoes. They were advertised as roasted, but they arrived pale, slightly slimy, and tasting suspiciously like they'd been microwaved back to a lukewarm existence. The texture was⌠unsettling. Some were mushy, others had a weird, almost rubbery resistance. It was a textural rollercoaster I did not sign up for. And then there were the green beans. Bless their little green hearts, they tried. But they were overcooked to the point of limpness, their vibrant color faded to a sickly olive drab. They tasted like they'd surrendered all their nutrients and flavor to the boiling water long ago. Each bite was a soggy sigh. It's truly a shame because, as I mentioned, the service was genuinely good. Our server checked on us regularly, was polite and friendly, and even offered a complimentary dessert when we politely mentioned our disappointment with the stew. They were a ray of sunshine in a very cloudy (and flavorless) meal. Ultimately, while the staff at "The skillet" deserve a raise for their cheerful professionalism in the face of such culinary adversity, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on the food alone. My meal was a trifecta of disappointment: tough beef, bizarre potatoes, and lifeless...
