I can't say enough great things about Stoney Creek Hotel in Broken Arrow & Shannon Walsh. We were in a bind looking for a venue for our wedding reception and we decided to give Stoney Creek a call. Amazingly they had availability on our wedding day and things got rolling. Shannon met with us three times and stayed in contact via email & and calls/texts throughout our entire planning process (about 3.5 months) making everything flow perfectly. We hosted our wedding reception in Salon A & B to be able to accommodate all 210 of our guests and it was perfect. There was plenty of room for 2 bars, a cake table, a memorial table for our loved ones, a beverage table, appetizer table, buffet area, and 5-6 high top cocktail hour tables. Shannon made sure that everything the week of was perfect, even after I made some serious last minute changes. She also helped sort out an issue with our floor plan being set up incorrectly by the staff. She had an idea to make it work and by golly she did it -- it did throw off our seating chart but we made it work on our end. We had access to the room starting at 7am the morning of (typically you can get access the night before but there was another event preventing us from being able to get in to set up/decorate like we would have liked) We provided our own table cloths for the cake table and head table and Shannon made sure that all of our final touches were absolutely perfect prior to our guests walking in. When it came to our actual reception time, Shannon was the best. I seriously cannot say enough good things about her. She came outside to gather up our wedding party, made sure that we were all ready to go inside, ran inside to get my bouquet after I had forgotten to keep it from the center piece box, brought it back to me! She also made sure that when we walked in for our grand entrance that my veil was still on and didn't get caught under the door! She made sure our buffet opened at the time that it was supposed to open and that things were running smoothly. Cake cutting time came and she ran over to get us our champagne and made sure we had all of that stuff that we needed. The room was absolutely gorgeous with 2 beautiful chandeliers, modern carpet/decorations, a large dance floor, a cute wooden backdrop for behind the cake table, and they let us rent one of their whiskey barrels from the bar downstairs when we were scrambling around trying to find something for our memorial table. Our honeymoon suite was phenomenal as well. Shannon got us checked in early and snuck the key to my husband during the reception at some point so that we didn't have to deal with checking in. The room was large, had a little dry bar with sink/fridge/counter, large whirlpool tub, huge walk-in shower, and a little sitting area with 2 TVs. I can't remember the name of the room we were in but oh my gosh we want to go back every year for our anniversary. Shannon left us a little note to congratulate us and made sure that we had a few slices of our wedding cake and cake balls waiting for us and also had some leftover food in the fridge for us since we didn't really get to eat during the reception. If I could relive my wedding day over and over I would 100% choose Stoney Creek again. Without a doubt. Shannon and her team kill it and the venue was amazing. I got so many compliments on how everything looked and how everything just flowed so perfectly. If you have an idea, Shannon will take it and make it even better. She improvised when things didn't go right with our décor or when we decided on something but forgot to actually bring it. If you are looking for an amazing wedding/reception venue, you don't need to look any further. I don't think that my wedding would have been as great had it not been for Stoney Creek and Shannon. So so thankful that we chose them for such a special and...
Read moreI stayed for three nights. It was a very nice room with a sitting area and massage chair. I needed the room for a business trip, and I was able to turn this room into a nice office. The bed was comfortable. There are 2 televisions...one in the sitting area and one in the sleeping area. The bedroom one is set up incorrectly and requires you to know how to change the input on the TV itself as the remote is for the cable company. Every morning, the breakfast was okay. I have an egg allergy, so my options were pretty limited. It was extremely cold there when I stayed and the dining area made me need a jacket to stay warm. There was always someone at the front desk, and I was coming in in the middle of the night. They have a small place to get some snacks and drinks near the front desk. The water pressure in the shower is hardly enough for a fly to get wet. Since there is an exhaust fan that is on when the light is on, it socks ALL the heat from the shower out, making it a very cold experience. The back parking lot (2nd floor near the highway) had fresh broken glass near the front door making me wonder if my car would be safe. I asked the front desk about it, and they said they had only had one break-in but said the front entrance where the front desk is would be more visible. I didn't have any problems while I was there. There wasn't a safe in the room. There was a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. I used the iron, and it worked well, and the ironing board was in good condition. There were several power ports near the bed to charge phones or other things. I had to move the nightstand to get to a wall outlet for my CPAP. The thermostat didn't work. It had power but wouldn't do anything for the actual machine. I set the thermostat on the machine itself, and it worked fine that way. Overall, this was a very nice place. In the sitting area, there was one place where the tape between two sheets of sheet rock had a water leak that was poorly (it at all) repaired. But I've been in much...
Read more2nd stay here for family of 4 (1st stay 2 years ago) and not same experience. We are on our last night of a 4 night stay in theme whirlpool suite (~$300/night), asked for freshen up service while out for the day since trash is overflowing and we are out of towels. Told it would happen sometime late afternoon, returned at 6pm and no one had been to room. Front desk guy couldn’t care less and gave my husband 2 towels with no offer to still have service or have them at least come get trash. I call to complain and get very nice lady and ask for at least to be brought towels and trash liners but she still did not offer service. 90 minutes later still nothing. Ended up going to target to purchase our own towels because we can’t shower otherwise. Other issues—on arrival, room smelt strong of syrup and found dried syrup all along wall by bathroom (see photo), ceiling fans caked in dust (see photo), shower curtain moldy (see photo), phone doesn’t work, can’t get towels or service, and terrible lighting in room. No light at all above whirlpool tub, light in kitchen area super dim so we had to use phone flashlights to eat. There is a convention here this weekend but it just started so that wasn’t an issue the first few nights we were here. The stay 2 years ago in a different whirlpool suite was amazing. That was during a convention as well and still there were towels and great service. I don’t know what changed. Assumed $300/night would at least get us basics (available towels) and clean room. I don’t know what the issues hotel wide are but at a minimum they need to purchase MANY more towels. We saw multiple upset guests in hotel from observing others in lobby/hallways. Seeing the recent reviews, our complaints seem trivial in the context of cockroaches in the sink and blood on sheets 😳 Staff seem overwhelmed and short. The pool only had towels 1 of the 4 days we swam with reassurance more were coming but hours passed without so we went to room soaking wet multiple times. This is our...
