I wish there was a 0 star rating! We bought an ice cream cake for our daughter's birthday. I have always loved the ice cream from marble slab so I thought a cake would be fantastic, even though it cost $35.99 plus tax! My family and I each got a piece and dug in! I happened to flip the cake in my bowl upside down and that is when I noticed something. I used my fork to lift off a small strand of something. I pulled it off with my fingers and stretched it out. If it had been mold, it would have smudged to bits, not mold. Not hair, it appears to be large amounts dust. I am not sure what it is! I returned the cake and received a full refund. I flipped what was left of the cake over to show Sasha the employee who was working. He clearly saw the debris and was apologetic and assured me that the manager would call me the next day. I kept the large fluff and a piece of the cake just in case someone got sick. It has been just under 48 hours and I hope we will not get sick other than the diarrhea that I got by noon the next day. Stress? I am disgusted that I fed this to my children! I waited for a call from the manager the next day but had to call and leave a message and got a call 39 hours after asking to speak with the manager. Courtney called me and was very rude. She said she is the manager but would not give me her last name. She told me it was not possible to speak with her manager, I asked who the owner was and she was unwilling to give me that information either. She laughed at me and told me that there was nothing wrong with the cake since she had looked at it personally. After declaring her superiority to me she said there was nothing more she could do. The ice cream here is decent but the service is terrible. I visited this location almost a month ago and it was not a pleasant experience. The ice cream was terrible. It tasted like it melted and went back to frozen , the service was average though. I tried again today. I want to give them a second chance and also I love to support businesses in our community. The experience was worst. The girl who was mixing my toppings started arguing with me when I told her I didn’t order that topping. My daughter had similar bad experience when she asked to taste a flavor the girl was uncomfortable with her request up to the point that she kept asking”what do you want?”. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because my husband was served properly. I guess the girls who were mixing our orders had personal issues that’s what I want to believe instead that they had issues because of our race.
