Best Western Brookfield — Hotel in Brookfield

Stayed overnight while passing through on business, the stay was fantastic! After reading reviews ahead of time (I'm a planner) I asked for a room away from the ice machine and elevator. I was given room 209, Super Quiet!!! It is away from the main hallway and over the lobby. No view as the roof to the carport is directly outside, however this worked great as it blocked any parking lot lights and was on the opposite side as the Walmart parking lot.

My wife and I travel frequently for vacations and mostly stay at Hilton properties (Hilton Gold) and I admit the room I had (209) was almost identical to the Double Tree by Hilton in Colorado we stayed at a few months earlier, almost identical! The finishes, layout, fabrics, décor, mattress and cleanliness! This was my first stay ever at a Best Western and it was better than I ever expected. Truly a well managed property with quality staff and updated!

The staff at check in (about 7pm) was awesome, prompt, friendly and polite. Check in was swift. The stay was peaceful and quiet and check out was easy. Water pressure was ok, nothing worth noting but worked well. AC stayed cool and no hallway noise. The morning breakfast was excellent. I wish I'd gotten her name as she was awesome too, fresh eggs, sausage and juice as well as a wide selection of grab and go items for the road.

Note, the housekeeping attendant for my room was Beth, and she did a fantastic job, that room was spotless, not a speck of dirt, dust or crumbs anywhere. No smudges on the microwave, TV or remote. (left you a little something for the service well done).

Next trip in the area I'll be sure to have them book me a stay at the Best Western in...

The beds were a tad too firm. Most of the pillows were waaaay too fat! Thankfully we had the option of choosing the pillows from 2 beds in our room. My husband said his neck feels out of place. We exchanged both our pillows for the only 2 more comfortable pillows. That one was still a little too thick for me, but it was tolerable. My husband said that feels a lot better! There was nice, hot water, refrigerator, microwave, mini coffee maker and the room was nice and clean. A lovely sitting room is by the front desk, convenient for visiting with loved ones that came for the same occasion. A cute breakfast nook features a well rounded selection of eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal packets, yogurt, coffee and juice. There was no freezer compartment in the refrigerator to freeze an ice pack. That was disappointing but I just filled a ziplock bag with ice cubes (from the ice machine) for my cool bag. If you sleep in room 112, and someone is occupying the room directly above you, enjoy the creaking floorboards. Thankfully it was not a problem of keeping us awake, even if the disturbance was late night, early morning, as we had a similar schedule. This Best Western is strategically located beside Walmart; convenient to buy spring water and whatever else. The small town of Brookfield has a few eating places. Novermber 2021: Clean and well appointed. Price feels a bit high but the area doesn't have anything really for competitors. Location is right by a Wal-Mart and near the highway on ramp so convenient for travel and forgotten necessities.

Location has a locked lobby from 9pm to 6am but no night I was there did that seem to ever be active. However, that area did not have any issues to make me feel unsafe either.

There does seem to be some future construction about to start. The large field is dirt and leveling so might be something to observe through 2022 if it's an issue for you.

Room was a single king standard. Large enough to be comfortable. Came with a microwave, mini fridge (that froze water it worked so well) with slot freezer, couch, and desk. I personally did not care for the complimentary products (soaps etc) as the smell and quality were not tolerable for more than the first night. My room did have issues with a very slow draining sink and a finicky toilet. The shower head did not move which as a taller person was not the nicest but par for the course. I didn't mention anything to have these addressed during my stay as nothing was unusable and I am not afraid to lift the tank lid to get it to refill with water to flush.
