14MAY22: As with their Marceline location, Los Chimas (Brookfield) would be a very good Mexican restaurant ANYWHERE - but it just happens to be in Brookfield, and we are VERY blessed to have it!
Running the gamut from very authentic Mexican dishes to more TexMex / American-“Mexican” fare, everything is well-crafted and delicious. I had the Tacos al Pastor, and my Wife had their new Barbacoa Tacos. We also like their Carne Asada, Carnitas, and Tacos Conchinita Pibil. Their tamales are first-rate, too.
The Brookfield location is brand new and still working out kinks, especially in timing compared to Marceline. But hey - when you go from 14 tables to 41, and you’re still maintaining the quality established at your original location, working through necessary adjustments is quite understandable.

Read moreHave a lovely evening at los chimas. I love the decor and vibe of the colorful dining room. Me and a group of friends enjoyed endless chips n salsa and lots of laughs. Ask for the house hot sauce and mix it in with your salsa if you like it with a kick. They have a speciality menu of which my friend ordered the molcajete jarocho off of it, it’s a dish that’s served in a bowl made from lava rock so the food stays hot/warm for a really long time. The bowl was still hot before we left, pretty cool and super unique. I had the vegetarian fajitas, delicious My partner had a shrimp fajita, and loved it Also we had a desert that was like a churro but stuff with cream cheese with ice cream and whipped cream that was really yummy. If you like margaritas I’d suggest the blackberry. Super satisfying night, chill atmosphere, nice staff, open...
