Worst stay I have had at a hotel ever. Will not be going back nor staying at another La Quinta. I called the hotel directly and asked a couple of questions. We were headed to Houston to look at buying a camper. I had tried to find a hotel with an indoor pool. I couldn't so I asked if this hotel had a hot tub. They did and my next question was is it working? I was told it was. That would be the first of many disappointments. It was not working and it along with the pool were full of leaves and trash. I had told my son I would find him a place to swim. He tried the pool but it was a bit too cold. We turned in for the night. The room would never really get cold. At one point I woke up sweating. The toilet paper holder was broken and there were parts of something laying in the window seal. I looked at an info sheet in the room for the hotel and found that breakfast was served till 10am (normal for hotels). Evidentially that was changed but the info card never was. We missed breakfast the next day. I explained to the front desk about the info card but he told me it had been that way for a year. I tried to get the hot tub working once again but it was not to be. Basically everything I paid for and wanted I was not able to utilize. They were repainting some of the rooms on our floor so the halls stunk of paint. I called the next week to talk to the GM and had to call back because he never returned my call. I was told by him that the hot tub was in fact broken. I was also told we could have had muffins if we had asked. I didn't pay for muffins. He then went on to say he could offer me a $10 credit to another La Quinta to help out. At this point I was just done. I have stayed in a ton of hotels over the years. Never have I ever felt like I got ripped off. I feel ripped off from this place. By the way I have never received my $10 voucher. Just know I will never stay a La Quinta Inn again.
So Lacey I love your response. Seems to me though you would have tried to contact me and make this right. Oh well just makes it even more positive I will not be staying at another one of your hotels. Should have asked for my money back but that's my...
Read moreWe paid for a room with 2 queens. When we arrived, they only had a room with 2 double beds. They said they were all booked and no way to fix it. No apology or attempted to make it better. We are a family or 5 (one is a baby in a pack n play) and it was not easy sleeping 2 people in each bed. They offered a roll away bed that was stained and every spring could be felt. There was no way I was going to make one of my kids sleep on it. The room was dirty. It took me 10 minutes to get the shower working. I honestly thought it was broken and then I hit it, and it started to work. After showering, I walked around bare foot and my feet were filthy. The pool was also very dirty. The hot tub wasn’t working. They have us towels for the pool that were there “old ones.” They had brown stains all over them. The breakfast wasn’t what was advertised. The sausage was grey. There were no eggs. I arrived 10 minutes before they closed down and they were already taking everything away. Thankfully, I was able to make one waffle for one of my kids. We were going to try to check out late and let our infant take a morning nap but the AC stopped working. It was 76 degrees when we left the room and it was very uncomfortable. We told the front desk as we were checking out and again, she didn’t seem to care. A simple “I’m very sorry” would have been appreciated. We travel to this area often for baseball and will never stay here again. I will be notifying the baseball organization as well and recommending they don’t use them as one of their preferred vendors. I had to give one star, but really, I would have given no stars. It was a...
Read moreWe stay in LaQuinta hotels all the time, and I must say this one takes the prize for the worst example of the LaQuinta franchise. We have a higher level membership because we do stay in these hotels a lot. When we arrive, there is no offering of bottled water and snack as usual. We also requested a late check out, since we’re getting in late, so we can relax but that is not a possibility and not because they are booked up but because they have to turn over 28 rooms? When we get into our room, there’s a big fat roach waiting for us in the bathroom. At that point, I would have left the hotel all together, but it was late and we were tired. So, we request to be moved. Both rooms were musty smelling when we entered. The towels in the room we did stay in needed to be retired as they were very dingy and the bathroom sink leaked all over the counter when running the water and got my toiletries wet. So, I spent a while drying everything off in order to be able to put everything back into my suitcase and not get everything else wet. To top it all off there was no breakfast. There just was an offering of Famous Amos cookies. We’ve stayed in several LaQuintas in recent past and they all were all back to providing breakfast. So, seems like this owner is taking advantage of the COVID thing across the board. Save yourself the stress and money and move on to the next hotel...
