DG Market — Local services in Brookshire

MELISSA was rude, short, and down right disrespectful when I came in and asked for help. I asked if DG has a helium tank machine to pump up ballons I have with me. Before I got to the end of my sentence, she said NO! Then I asked of DG sells a helium tank that I can buy. Before I finished my sentence, she said NOOO! Then I explained to her, I just checked online, and the website says, there's 5 helium tanks at this location. I pulled out my phone to show her. She never once looked me in my eye, instead she answered before I was finished speaking again, and said "we don't sell anything like that". Lastly I asked, where do you sell balloons, without looking at me, she said in the party isle. She didn't even point to the party isle, I had to walk around for a couple minutes untill I found it. I got to the party isle, and found 5 boxes , just like it said on the website. I went to the register, purchased the helium tank, and and told her there were 5 tanks in that isle, she ignored me. Then I went up to her, asked her name, and told her , there were 5 boxes of helium tanks in the party isle. Melissa replied OK? , and quickly walked away. Because of MELISSA, I had a terrible lengthy experience, wasted time, and I'm left feeling like an unvalued customer, who's been spending money at DG in several cities for over 15 years. MELISSA, I hope you never treat another customer the shameful, hateful, unprofessional way you treated me. When you need it the least, may you get that same terrible treatment at the places you...

If I could leave a ZERO star I would. The older white man named KENNY at this location is very rude and extremely unfriendly. While I was there I was checking out with Mr Horacio which was very kind and helpful and while I was checking out there was a young black man checking out in self checkout. When the young man asked for some assistance from Mr KENNY he was met with rude words and a question into this young man's intelligence. I KID YOU NOT MR KENNY upon the young man asking about paying with cash on those self checkout registers responded to the young man "CAN YOU NOT READ THE SIGN SAYS CARD ONLY!" and I mean he yelled this at the young man it was completely uncalled for. After I was done checking out with Mr Horacio (a young hispanic man) he even had rude words and attitude for his coworker. I felt and still feel he is being racist towards anyone that isn't his own. I will be returning to speak to the store manager about this and I will report it higher if needed this...

The Dollar General intro says, " Bargain retail chain selling a range of household goods, groceries, beauty products & more". Yeah sure, I like the products, and the prices but holy cow, I do not want to spend 20 minutes in there!
