I'm having work done on my condo and my cats were stressed because of the noise so I decided to spend the night in the hotel with my cats. The room I was in was infested with bed bugs. My cats were miserable and I was miserable starting at about 2:00 a.m. I don't drive so I had to wait until morning when my friend could pick me up. when I called Days Inn they told me it was fleas. I know the difference between fleas and bed bugs. I also let them know I took pictures but they weren't interested. I should have been refunded the $132.00 for my night of misery instead of the relaxation I came there for. I did not call them to get a refund I called them to inform them of the bed bug problem . Also what I didn't tell her is that under the sink where you can sit and put your feet was filthy. When I took a shower and I wiped the floor up the white towel was Brown with dirt. Don't stay at this hotel you will regret it. I just hope that I didn't bring any of those Critters home with me. I did take precautions so that it won't happen such as a vinegar shower for my cats and myself. Vinegar kills bed bugson on contact. Additional information: I recorded this business to the Better Business Bureau with all the details and pictures and they are still blaming the bugs on my cats! They stated that my pictures I uploaded were from Google well guess what yes they were from my Google Drive where I store my pictures. I uploaded the pictures from my phone and sent them to myself in an email. I saved them to my computer on my Google Drive account. Then in my complaint to the Better Business Bureau I uploaded those pictures of the bed bugs. They stated they did not have any furniture that look like what was in the picture. The bugs were on their blanket on the bed where I killed them and on a paper towel. My cats left hair because they were scratching all night from the bed bugs on their body! When I get a chance to respond via the Better Business Bureau website website I will do a screenshot of the details of when and where those pictures were taken. I will also add to the complaint how my older cat became very ill the day I got back from the hotel february 15th. I will note that the vet bill was $854 for test to find out what was wrong with her. She had acute bronchitis. The stress from the bugs in that hotel room and her age cause her immune system to be low and there must have been strep in that room to give her bronchitis. The room was absolutely filthy. I am partially blind so I really didn't see the dirt until I looked while I was trying to get rid of the bed bugs in the room that were attacking my cats and myself. Some might say it must have been a nightmare but I say it was a horror film for my cats and I it was absolutely the worst hotel stay I have ever had in my life! I didn't file the complaint for the money I filed the complaint so they would clean their hotel better for the safety of their customers. I can't figure out how to post pictures here or I would post the pictures so you can see for yourself. Do not stay at this Days Inn hotel in Bullhead City Arizona. I only stayed there because they allowed cats. Never again. They also stated in their response that they reported me to animal cruelty so that my animals would get checked on in my home. I hope that happens because my cats live better than I do and are very spoiled. They are my babies and I take excellent care of them. My older cat has traveled throughout the United States with me and stayed in multiple hotel rooms that allowed cats. I have never experienced what I experienced at Days Inn Bullhead City Arizona in my life. Don't stay at that hotel! You...
Read moreWorst experience at this motel yet. From now on I'll stay elsewhere if I ever have to set foot in ghettoville Bullhead again.
Firstly, when I made reservation I confirmed a 1st floor room as my top priority. When I arrived, I was given a 2nd floor room & had to return to the front desk after realizing it. At first he said, there was none available but when I told him that was mandatory because I have a disability & can't haul things upstairs, he then "pulled a miracle" as he said. All this was to make me believe I was being upgraded to a King room upon arrival, that I didn't ask for. What a joke! All this is to say they simply did not have the room I reserved.
Next, the room: Floor was filthy and I had to request it be mopped as my feet were black from it. Xtra small fridge was ancient, door hanging with gap, and a tiny corner "ice box" with no door that was frozen over. The AC filter appeared to NEVER have been cleaned! The warning light was on & it was caked with weird, gray debris that literally coated the tub bottom when I washed it out & plugged the drain for a long while as it slowly seeped down. It almost looked like asbestos. If it wasn't 11pm when I realized how bad it was after sneezing a lot, I would've called front desk to deal with it, but no way was I sleeping another night with that health hazard! Mattress was horrendous! So soft that I was in pain within hours of sitting on it. Since my SUV has a board & tri-fold mattress in it, I finally had to drag it in and put on top. UNACCEPTABLE! What a disgrace this place is. As if that all wasn't bad enough, I had specifically asked for a QUIET room because last time I stayed I could hear the neighbor's TV & EVERYTHING they said. This time? I'm put next door to a foreign man living there with 2 large, aggressive dogs that barked at everyone & everything they heard beginning at 4:30am. I even saw staff have to wait outside MY window because he had his door open with the dogs viciously barking at them. When I finally called the front desk about it they just said I could move! This man was LIVING THERE holed up with aggressive German Shepherd & Husky dogs. That was my "quiet" location. Had I not brought all my belongings in for a 4+ night stay I would’ve checked out of this DUMP after 1 night. I finally did leave early. Toilet ran every time it was flushed & all furniture uncomfortable old junk. One set of the 2 washers & dryers Out of Order. Last year I stayed, same thing AND broken ice machine.
If I was in an "upgraded" king room, I'd sure hate to see what they consider a so-called regular remodel as per other reviewers. Considering the standards of a very low socioeconomic demographic in this ghetto town, I wouldn't expect much.
It's really a shame that this motel can't get their act together, and even worse, that the Wyndham franchise even puts their brand on this disgrace. Bullhead City is such a ghetto though that I guess if people are going to come here they'll tolerate ghetto-quality motels because the competition isn't...
Read moreGot in late after driving down from Las Vegas, NV. This was for a 2 night stay. Got a text where I could check in off my phone. Address that pre-populated was partially wrong & I corrected. Night clerk @ check-in very nice. Room nice & clean, but there were a few issues. NO hangars, light bulb in floor lamp out, TV remote not working, TV itself when I hit power button had 1 Spanish channel working. The next morning I dropped a note off @ front desk with clerk. When I got in that night nothing had been fixed! Also room had not been cleaned or made up. Called front desk & was advised rooms not cleaned unless requested since Covid-19 had hit a few years back (was not advised this @ check-in & not a deal breaker). The clerk was very nice & apologetic about the other issues not being fixed. I guess the guy @ front desk in the morning wasn't a regular clerk & nothing in the maintenance log. The night clerk said she would come to room & try to fix TV after she was done with a guest. She arrive about 10 minutes later & was unable to get TV working. She offered me another room, but I didn't want to move upstairs. She took a note with the issues & said she would tell maintenance. The next morning I had a knock on the door & it was maintenance. Super nice, he had hangers, changed the bad light bulb & got the TV working with ALL the channels. I was able to catch the news before I checked out. I didn't have breakfast the first day, but had it day of check out. They had one of those Belgian waffle machines, but the batter looked like 1/2 batter, 1/2 gray water which was a disgusting soupy mixture. I alerted the front desk clerk & he said "one of the staff doesn't use the full bag of mix" (trying to save $$$?) & he quickly replaced the batter. The waffle tasted great & they had your typical other breakfast items hot/cold cereal, juice, bagels, etc. So despite the glitches it was a pretty good stay, nice room, comfortable bed, & all staff members very friendly. There were "cheaper" rooms across the river in Laughlin, but when you factor in those pesky resort fees this came out on top. Plus I'm a Wyndham Reward member & got points! I would stay here again. Other notes: There appeared to be a nice sized safe in the closet, but it didn't have an electronic lock which is standard @ most hotels I've stayed at. This had a key type lock so I suppose if you want to use the safe you get a key from the front desk? There was a grab bar in the bathroom OUTSIDE the tub by doorway. Might help getting into the tub, but no safety grab bar on inside tub...
