Red Carpet Inn & Suites Ebensburg, PA — Hotel in Cambria Township

The front staff were pleasant to deal with and check in and out was easy. The lobby was clean and inviting. The rooms could use a refresher. The bed was extremely firm but was expected for the price paid. All electronics worked in the room but the small refrigerator was unplugged. Looked as if someone had punched the bathroom door, due to hole in one side of the door, and maintenance just screwed particle board to cover it. Bathroom door was also separating at inside edges where the hinges screwed to the door. Cannot say how long the door had been like that but should have been replaced immediately. The bench seat was broken in the room. Found out when my wife about fell through it. Thick dust was on the headboard of the bed. There were no extra electrical outlets to charge electronics. Bathroom vent fan was extremely loud at first turn on but quietened after 5 minutes of running. Toilet leaked in the tank portion that caused it to continuously run and refill through the night. Room was clean and presentable, these were just the minor things with the room that brought down the experience. The breakfast was the basic containers of cereal, instant oatmeal, toast, milk, coffee, tea and juice in one of the rooms...

I have to say, in over the 100s of hotels I stayed in by far this was the worst.

The room was 85 degrees. The ac was broke on the entire second floor. Due to all the hotels being sold out we were stuck at this hotel. The room was so hot, we almost went to Walmart to buy a fan. Thank God the window opened and it started to get cool outside. By 3am the room cooled off to the mid 70s. The rest of the room.... the bathroom was dirty, the room phone broke, the paint on the walls were just nasty, refrigerator broke, also highly recommend not to take shoes off and walk on carpet. The price of the room was over a hundred dollars but with discount paid 94.50.... In all actually relativity this room should have been priced at 30.00. The security door where you use your key card to get in to hotel was broke, anyone could come in.

Never will I stay at a place like this. I would have been better off with a tent lake and a battery operated fan in the middle of the woods.

Would never recommend this hotel to anyone. This thing makes me pick a star to post but if I had a choice it would be...

RUN!!!! One of the worst experiences of my life and possibly looking into a layer for discrimination. We were harassed, we had no privacy (the maid walked into our room when we left when my son was sleeping) and were treated horribly. I have medical disorders (anxiety and depression) the "boss" preceded to yell at me in the hallway at the top of his lungs with 2 other employees (i'm 5'6 and weigh 150 lbs. and was crying) present because the person that checked us in put us in a non pet friendly room. Boss threatened to call the cops for no reason several times. I was called a liar and a baby and was humiliated. They then told us we wouldn't be charged if we cleaned that room and we would be moved to a new room. We cleaned the room and moved but was called the next morning to be told we needed to leave because the room wasn't cleaned good enough (they only gave us a vacuum to "clean" with). He also gave us an hour to leave and we had to take what we could carry down the hallway. We lost all of our belongings and I have been having non stop...
