I am not the type of person to do reviews. However, I felt compelled to inform people who are looking to eat REAL Japanese food to look else where. First and foremost, this is not Japanese food! Coming from Hawaii and being half Japanese, this place is a complete disgrace… The Restaunt floor was filthy and only one waitress (which is the reason why this place got one star). The waitress was super nice. In regards to the food, who in the world serves unagi don with sushi rice!? There was a chef special who no one knows (not even the chef) what it might be. SMH!!! To make things worst, falsely labeling foods with “chefs sauce” and it’s plain teriyaki! Definitely over priced for slop. EPIC FAILURE WASABI!!! Service is so not professional. I highly don’t recommend eating here! Save your money and go somewhere else!
**Update: Using Covid 19 is a poor excuse for lack of quality and cleanliness. I find it very unprofessional to talk and mock your customers in your language. Unknowingly, the customer also speaks the same language. If there’s shortages don’t falsely advertise the product. I’m sure people don’t mind paying extra for good service, a clean restaurant, and good food. I rather pay a good price and know I’m getting good quality food and not a bad case of food poisoning (like my family just did after dining at your restaurant). We did give you a chance and spent over $120 in your Restaunt. Truthfully, it wasn’t worth it. From what I see in your previous reviews you had an issue with professionalism, sanitation, and rodents. Take this as constructive criticism to improve your knowledge in service, sanitation, and quality of food. Your committed customers deserve better from you and...
Read moreHere was my prior review, we revisited and have since had a better experience: Okay so, we went on their first day of opening. We tried to order online and it failed, twice. So we decided to call, voicemail, twice. So we just went there to go inside. They were supposed to open at noon, but we got there at 4:00 and the doors were still locked. But finally at 4:30 they opened, and we went inside and asked for takeout. They didn’t have half of our items we wanted, and I waited and hour and ten minutes for my food. I also watched many people who ordered way after me get their food way before me. Then, when we finally got our food, they told us they put some free things in the bag because of our wait, but upon arrival to my car, I opened the bag and there was nothing extra, and we were actually missing things.
Our order: peking duck chicken dinner box sushi dinner (8pc sushi, California roll) bean curd marble soda Shirley temple green tea ice cream fried cheesecake lettuce wrap fried calamari crab salad
The only things they had available: chicken dinner box Shirley temple bean curd sushi dinner (8pc sushi, California roll)
What we ended up with: chicken dinner box Shirley temple bean curd sushi dinner (California roll missing)
We are going back at the end of July (when they’ve been open for a full month) to try again. I’m hoping it’s just due to it being their first day, even though that shouldn’t be too much of an excuse.
New review: We went back and ordered basically the same exact thing, it was done in 20 minutes, we got everything, and the food was amazing. So, I highly...
Read moreI was so excited to try a new local sushi restaurant. Unfortunately the experience overall was disappointing :-( I attempted to call in a take-out order Wednesday evening and was told the wait would be 1.5-2 hours; I said I would try the next day, and it was recommended to me that I call earlier in the afternoon and request my pickup for the later time. So I call today around 2pm and request my order for pickup at 5:15. I arrived a little behind at 5:20, and my order wasn’t yet ready. No biggie. Over the course of the next hour (I was really trying to give this place a chance) I was asked three separate times what my order was, while watching as seemingly untrained staff tried to handle the dinner crowd. When my food finally came out at 6:25, I was given a marble soda as a consolation for the situation. Whatever. At this point I used my remaining faith to drive home without checking the accuracy of my order. I ordered the Mango Lover’s Roll and a Chicken Dinner box. I do not know what roll I received but it was filled with avocado and some kind of cooked fish, topped with crab strings and eggs. Even though I ordered a completely different roll I tried it to see if fate gave me a pleasant surprise and was left disappointed, the roll I received was just not good. The dinner box came with two pieces of chicken breast with green and red peppers (?), two fried shrimp, various fried vegetables and a California roll. This proved disappointing to me as well :-/ I really really tried to give this place a chance but in the end the food didn’t excuse the...
