The room was fine. AC worked great when the bathroom gfi was not tripped and that only seemed to trip when the room supplied coffee maker or hair dryer was used. The faint urine smell when we walked into the room disipated quickly. There wasn't much mold in the shower and the mirror had probably been cleaned this week but the mattresses were more lumpy than the ones my grandmother had in her basement from the 1970s. Sheets and towels were both cleaned, no complaints there. The view from the back patio was a spectacular place to enjoy a cup of morning coffee once I was able to actually get the sliding glass door open (broken rollers), until the smell from LOTS of dog droppings came into play. Likely from one of the stray dogs that tried to get into our vehicle. Seriously though, the views were great. The shuttle to the casino actually showed up one of the two times we called them. Our lane in the bowling alley stopped working for nearly 20 minutes of our one hour bowling time slot. The Kids Quest area (absolute highlight for my 9 year old) was a big hit with my kid . . . Although they failed to actually provide him the food and drink we ordered for him at drop off. The answer I got when I inquired why my kid didn't get dinner? "Well we didn't charge you if he didn't get it". Great, my child in your care still didn't get the dinner we requested. The single vending machine at The Lodge had it's card reader offline, but that was ok because it was sold out of every beverage.
The food at Three Sisters was genuinely good. I recommend it! Every item we tried was well made and very tasty. The buffet adequate. Similar to a trip to The Ole Country Buffet at twice the cost. I won't knock the buffet for being out of some items or the bar for serving different drinks than ordered, those things just happen sometimes.
We stayed here pre-pandemic and enjoyed the experience. Camp Verde had always been our favorite jumping off point for adventures in Sedona, Prescott Valley, Flagstaff and beyond. It is a neat little town. We will never stay at The Lodge at Cliff Castle again and will likely not return to the...
Read moreWhere to start?? Booked 2 rooms for 2 adults and 6 kids at $125 a piece. They were suppose to be next to each other but were not. Both rooms were a dump. Floors were stained with various stains, dirt and markings all over the walls, pubic and regular hair all over bathtub in one room and no tub stopper in other room with drain being full of hair. Dirt all over the floor, stains on sheets and nothing in the room but a dirty very old coffee pot. Bee hive in the jacuzzi corner and trash all over the pool deck. This room was by far the worse I have ever stayed in. It was a $125 room that should have been maybe $30. The last thing pushing me to write a review was finding a bed bug on the curtain in one room the next day. My baby had a few bites on him so it was a little concerning. I went and complained to the staff that night and asked to upgrade to a casino room and pay the difference but was told since I paid through Expedia a third party they cant help me with anything or make any changes. After finding the bed bug I complained to the manage when checking out to ask if he had actually checked the rooms out himself and he said that he did and that they are aware of the conditions. If that's the case then lower your price and dont advertise as a great hotel. I would never stay here again . When checking on regular hotel at the casino I could have gotten a king suite for the same price that would have accommodated my party. Buyer Beware and always book through the...
Read moreWe were forced to stay both of our nights in 2 different rooms because we were told they were booked, then found another available room online. Don’t know why we were told they were totally booked right off the bat.
The 1st room was a suite. Nice, but it appears all rooms are adjoining rooms, so you can hear everything your neighbor says. (Or argues about at 2:30am)
The 2nd night was in a regular king room. The carpet was filthy & stained, there’s very few plugs in either of the rooms, and the furniture and bed are dated. We never used the balcony this night because our neighbors were out there smoking, but it did have a nice view of the mountains. This was also an adjoining room, so we heard the two babies crying next door as if they were in our room.. Yes, including an infant that probably had cholic.. For 2 hours. Along with some other very active kids bumping around, we called security to do a wellness check. They never came out. We finally got to sleep after midnight, and woke up at 5am with the baby crying again.
Now let me say, I feel really for bad for the parents, but for the price we pay for this hotel, you’d think the rooms would be insulated a little better.
As for the hotel, it is very scary at night. Very dim lights, shady characters linger, and no help or security. I would recommend booking somewhere else.
If you’re going to stay here, I would highly recommend asking for an end upstairs...
