Stopped by for milkshakes as we had stopped to fill up at the next door gas station. We figured this would be a safe option as there is limited interaction with staff given the outdoor nature of the restaurant as we are in the midst of our AZ Covid peak. The server had no mask or gloves on and there was no system for safe hand off. He didn’t let me pick up my items from his tray or place them in front of the car where I could’ve retrieved them without interaction with the server. Instead, he held our milkshakes in his hands for several minutes while explaining how not to spill... all while not wearing a mask. I was wearing a mask. Moreover, these are open cups (with a big hole on top) where his droplets can land in the cups themselves as he is speaking. I was so shocked at the lack of mask that I didn’t have time to think or react - otherwise I would not have opened the window. I just wanted the whole interaction to end as soon as possible. In the last several months, this is the first time I’ve been to an establishment serving the public where the staff didn’t have masks on. Read moreWhat a disastrous location. I ordered online and paid through the app. I get to the location and check in. About 5 minutes later, a worker comes out and tells me they can’t get their grill started. Fine, but then they can’t refund my payment. They call their manager who is not on duty and the manager tells the worker to tell me that I can cancel the order on the app and get refunded. It’s too late though as the order is showing completed. After another 10 minutes, the worker comes out and hands me a paper with a corporate number to call. They apologize half-heartedly as they hand me the paper, turn around and leave me to figure out how I will get refunded. Thankfully, the individual I talked to over the phone helped after being on hold for another 5 minutes. Granted l now I have to wait 7-10 business days to get the my refund reflected back in my account. In all, I spent 20-25 minutes trying to get this matter resolved. Read moreFood poisoning. Went to this Sonic after the Casino this past Sunday. Girlfriend had popcorn chicken, but was disgusted when she found brown gelatinous goo inside one, threw the rest out. I had chicken tenders, tots, and a coke, but barely ate one piece of chicken. Within hours, food poisoning symptoms kicked in, and I spent 12 hours feeling like I was dying of dysentery, Oregon Trail style. So much shi**ing and vomiting, my stomach is still recovering 4 days later. Not sure if it was the few bites of chicken, or the ice in the coke, but hell, maybe it was even the tots. Afterwards, my girlfriend reminded me of how, while waiting for our food, we looked up at the stationary ceiling fans and saw what looked like years of dust layers, caked on like they had never been cleaned.
