I booked the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Canton after searching Boston and surrounding areas for a hotel that had a working hot tub. My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We both enjoy American History and since we had not been to the New England area, we thought Boston would be a great place to start. The hotel room prices in Boston were outrageous and even at over $500+ per day, I could not find a place with a working hot tub. I was pleased to find the Homewood Suites in Canton had what I was looking for. The Sales Manager Rebecca emailed me to confirm our reservation and asked what she could do to make our stay special. She sent me some information about the area. I let her know about our anniversary plans and that the reason I wanted the hot tub was because of all the walking I expected we would be doing would take a toll on our “old bones”. I also explained that I was only able to find a room with a king bed and that because I suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome 2 Queen beds would prevent my poor husband from getting kicked all night. When we arrived, I was so pleased to find that Rebecca did find us a 2 Queen bed suite. The room was in close proximity to the pool and hot tub. Rebecca also presented us with a very thoughtful canvas bag full of snacks and a special “Happy Anniversary” box of cookies. Every morning, we enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast. My husband especially liked the fact that coffee was available 24/7. We drove down to Plymouth for a very nice day touring the Mayflower II and the Pilgrim village and had lunch at the Lobster Hut.|When we flew into Boston/Logan airport our plane landed around 2:30pm. The map I looked at showed Canton to be about 34 miles south of Boston. We took the interstate highway system which was horrendous. My husband has driven in New York and Chicago and tells me Boston is worse. After bumper to bumper traffic on the highway and going through tunnels, we finally arrived at the hotel around 6pm. That experience made us decide to take the train to Boston instead of driving.|When we got to Boston, I was so grateful that I booked the Homewood Suites in Canton instead of getting a room in Boston. We expected Boston to be a wonderful historical area, but found it overgrown with high-rises and narrow over congested streets. Although we took the “Hop on Hop Off” Trolley tour, it was very disappointing as the old historical buildings were hidden between the skyscrapers. We were lucky to catch glimpses of the rooftops that were pointed out by the trolley conductor. The best part of the tour was the Boston Harbor Tea Party. We ended up at Abigails tea house. The chocolate chip cookies were yummy, and I was able to try the different teas that they said were the same as the ones that were tossed into the harbor. In my opinion, they tasted like the were skimmed off the bottom of the harbor floor. I pity the poor settlers that would have had to drink that awful stuff. || The last day we took the train to Back Bay and the subway to the North Train station and then the train to Salem. That was a fun excursion in itself. We were surprised and disappointed that Taxi service was nowhere to be found. We wanted to take the tour trolley, they did not have a pickup point at the train station, so we had to walk quite a ways to get to the trolley pick up point. We are both seniors and I walk with a cane, so walking these distances was very hard on me. The trolley tour was about an hour long, and the tour guides spoke very fast and was hard to understand. Once again, most of the historic buildings were pointed out by “look down this street and you can see the building in the middle of this old street we can’t drive down”. We did go the Witches Trial and Dungeon exhibit. The actors there explained the history and background of the witch trails and terrible way these “Puritans” treated their community members. By the time we got back to the hotel, my body ached so bad, the hot tub was the best part of the day. Overall, I must say that the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Canton was the best part of...
Read moreThis will be a long review so hang tight. There are so many positives to this place I don't even know where to begin. I'm loyal to Hilton and try and book Hilton brands when I travel. I chose to stay here because my Dad was undergoing a major surgical procedure at Beth Israel Hospital in Milton, Mass and I needed to be close by. I booked a room for 8/2 thinking I'd only need to be there for a night. I called around 1130am and explained we had driven down from New Hampshire and that I'd barely slept the night before. I really needed some quality rest after a delayed flight into Boston then driving to NH and back down to Milton. Mary Ann answered and couldn't have been nicer and more understanding of my situation. She let me check in right away and I had the pleasure of meeting her in person upon my arrival. She is kind, caring, warm, welcoming and extremely compassionate. Michael and Jayden are also top notch employees at the front desk, both were extremely warm and welcoming. I was delighted to find my room was on the top floor, and it was in great condition. Extra comfortable King size bed, two large LG HDTV's with directv and all premium channels, spacious bathroom with tub, full kitchen with a real deal microwave, full size fridge and freezer, cooktop with two burners, fully stocked cabinets with dishes, sliverware etc. Everything was clean and shiny and bathroom/kitchen were fully stocked with all standard amenities and then some. I had more than enough space as there was a full size living room with sleeper sofa and extra large master bedroom. I had explained to Mary Ann that if there were complications with my Dad's procedure, I may need to stay a few extra nights. She relayed this info to the manager, Joe Stewart, and he went above and beyond any hotel employee I've ever encountered to make sure I was taken care of. I had the pleasure of meeting Joe before I left to see my Dad on 8/2. He is extremely bright and deserves a promotion to top tier of Hilton Corporate. During ski season, I go to Park City, Utah often and was there most recently about 6 months ago. I stayed at The Waldorf Astoria and the employees at The Homewood Suites in Canton Mass far exceeded those at The Waldorf. I sat and talked with Joe for 30 minutes or so and the guy is next level. I sell and develop real estate in St Augustine, FL and am very well connected here. I work with extremely savvy investors, builders and private banks. Joe really impressed me with his knowledge, demeanor, compassion and willingness to go above and beyond. I'm diamond with Hilton and travel often and Joe is the best employee I've seen or met and I've been to hundreds of hotels. Hilton corporate needs to read this and promote both Mary Ann and Joe asap. My Dad's stay at the hospital ended up taking 4 nights and was extremely stressful and Joe and Mary Ann would call to check in on me and expressed empathy and compassion to the highest level. I was treated like family here and that's what I like vs just another person which you often get at most hotels. The place was sold out during my time there but they made room for me somehow and I'll always be grateful to them for that. All facilities in the hotel are clean and sanitary. It has a large pool, a bubbling hot tub and a spacious gym. I met Gabriel who was constantly cleaning and polishing mirrors around the place and he was very nice too. I was able to check in early and check out late. Wifi is blazing fast so I could work and do what I needed to do logistically for my Dad. This place stays full for a reason. Free dinner and drinks on Wednesday's was a nice surprise and they keep hot coffee and tea stocked 24/7. They also have all the little things one might forget stocked right by the front desk. I'll forever be indebted to Joe, Mary Ann and Jayden for how nice, welcoming and accommodating they are. I'd give this place six stars if I could. It's close to everything and is by far the best hotel in this area. If you need to stay in or around Canton, Homewood Suites is the...

I recently had the pleasure of staying here from November 30, 2024, to March 2025, and I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the customer service experience was exceptional. Any concerns I raised were immediately addressed.
Check-In Process
The check-in process was seamless and efficient. The front desk greeted me with warm smiles and welcomed me immediately. The staff were attentive, answering all my questions and going above and beyond to ensure I had a wonderful stay.
My suite was beautifully decorated and equipped with all the amenities I could need during my stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring I slept adequately each night. The spacious suite provided plenty of room to exercise and do my morning ritual. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the staff assisting me with bringing my packages to my room and the kitchen staff saving me food during the weekly manager’s cocktail hour when I worked late.
Toiletries
The hotel featured high-quality toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and lotion, that added a nice touch to my stay.
The hotel’s facilities exceeded my expectations. From the well-maintained fitness center and the relaxing pool area. The pool was a highlight, offering a tranquil atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a long, stressful work day.
The breakfast buffet featured many delicious options, including tortillas, chicken tinga, eggs, bacon, chia pudding, overnight oats, and scrumptious Belgian waffles!
Location
Located just 20 minutes from Boston, the hotel was convenient for accessing local restaurants and quick grocery deliveries via DoorDash and Ubereats.
My stay's standout feature was undoubtedly the team's customer service. They were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic experience. The staff were always friendly and willing to assist me. They definitely made a significant difference in the quality of my stay.
I would be remiss if I did not mention the fantastic Homewood Suites team members: Barry, Jamie, Tommie, Orlando, Luis, Luis’ son, Daniella, Ms. Ella, Maryanne, Rebecca, Leah, Anastasia, and Anthony. Those not mentioned above also make the hotel what it is: simply the best in the area. During my stay, when I was feeling unwell, Winnie and the team kindly brought me ice. And, after my father's passing recently, the staff brought me flowers, which was incredibly thoughtful.
Having worked half the year in Massachusetts and the other half in Florida for the past four years and stayed in various Hilton properties, I can confidently say that this stay has been the best and most memorable.
In summary, my experience at the Homewood Suites by Hilson was exceptional. Whether you’re traveling for leisure or business, this hotel provides a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, excellent location, and outstanding service. I can’t wait to return on my next visit! I genuinely feel like the staff is my extended family. Thanks to all the team members for creating such a welcoming and supportive environment!
Book here, this is the best hotel outside of Boston!!! The team is unbeatable and...
