We saw this room and we had to experience staying in a boat house. My daughter LOVED the fact she could stay in the loft all by herself. the entrance was soo cute and I loved we have a back patio also. Of course the pictures online is not what it looks like in person, but that's with every hotel. I'm sure that was prior to the hurricane, but it was close enough. We are not picky on small detail like if the walls are dirty due to day to day stuff or something is chipped we are all about the experience and we loved it so much we are planning our next trip. I love how close it is to the beach and to Ft. Myers shop area, even though everything is still so torn down from the hurricane. we had a good time. They didn't have a stove which was fine but I would have liked a small oven but I know those are fire hazards so I get it. I just go with small kids who I need to heat up things for and a picky eater, and for some reason I thought there was a stove. Again no big deal for us but wanted to mention that. The restaurant next door was soo good its so convenient to have it next door and the Surf Style store across the street was nice also. The breakfast was a nice touch, don't expect eggs and bacon, but a bagel, fruit cereal, which was fine with us. the breakfast area was nice, my daughter even put on YouTube in the little patio area they have and we enjoyed a quiet time there. They did mention to me that this was not meant for 4 adults. its meant for 2 adults and 2 kids is what I understood. I will mention that the way you get on the boat is a bit dangerous if going with toddlers. I went with a 6 year old and a 1 year old so we just made sure the doors were closed at all times and the 6 year old wasn't allowed outside without us and to get off just be very careful because as you can imagine your on a boat in the water so you have to jump on to a dock. My 1 year old would loose his balance because of the boat moving, it was so funny. I wanted to write this review because I looked online for this boathouse review and couldn't find any so I was scared it wasn't real even though I booked it and saw pictures but I never saw an actual review of someone staying there. So I wanted to make sure that if someone else is staying here they know that this is such a nice place and a different experience than staying in a regular hotel room.

Not what I was expecting. It has a great concept and I can see the vision they are shooting for but the comfort of the rooms was terrible. Stayed for two days this past weekend. When we arrived late Friday we went straight into the room and ready for bed to find the ac wasn’t working. Lots of light and traffic noise due to our room being right by the main road and only a curtain that allowed the flashing traffic light to blink through all night long. They replaced the small window ac unit the next day only to find out that it wasn’t an issue with the ac rather than the electrical in the wall so we were equipped with a huge extension cord running through the room to keep it going. Bed was sat straight on the metal bed frame with no platform or box spring so we could feel the dips in the mattress as it sank between the metal slats on the frame. The entire room was was like a poorly remodeled basement with bandaid fixes everywhere. I know the deviation this area suffered but just wish the owners would invest a little more money into the rooms. The outside gathering areas were pretty cool, with a small beach community vibe. As I said I see their vision and with some improvements it could easily be one cool spot to spend a vacation, but this time for us just wasn’t it. Wish I would have just booked with a hotel for the money I spent here.

I stayed here on "accident". I was traveling to the area for work and based on all the reviews of the regular hotel chains I normally would stay it, this was a better choice. Apparently most of the chain hotels were still operating without fixing what the recent hurricanes had ruined. The place does NOT look like the photos LOL you won't find any turquoise water- but, it was convenient, VERY clean, updated & safe. It's on a busy road, but this shouldn't hinder your sleep. I found there wasn't much traffic during sleeping hours. Everything seemed very quiet at night. Since I was here for work, I didn't explore the whole property but I will absolutely stay here again when I visit the area. As a woman traveling alone, I would have liked to see more lights in the parking lot- otherwise this was a great little place to stay for the week. Some reviews mentioned this place being overpriced for what it is and I don't agree. Comparing the chain hotels in the area & their sketchy reviews-I found this place to be a great value.

Tip Top Isles Waterfront Resort & Marina||Overview||Prices||Reviews|My husband and I spent several days here and our children and grandchildren joined us for the weekend. We had a wonderful time. This hotel is quirky. The rooms, I was in several, are VERY clean. The king rooms are a good size. There is a table with 2 kitchen chairs, a good size dresser and a desk. The king beds are platform beds so instead of a box spring the mattress sits on wood. It is still very comfortable but be careful of the corners. I put the luggage rack at the foot of the bed after the first time I walked into the corner and had no problem with the corner again. That could be me. A little clumsy. The floors are tile and clean. I like that. No dirty carpet. There are tables and chairs outside every room and we even made friends with the neighbors. The outside is not pretty and it surely could be. The walkways need painting and get rid of the ugly pieces of patio furniture. There are plenty of comfortable chairs and tables without them. Some blinds or contact paper on the store room windows would go a long way. The pool area could use some new umbrellas but the pool is wonderful. It was clean and warm. The owners are on site and very sweet and helpful. I upgraded one of the rooms I reserved from the double queen to the loft. I am so happy I did. The grandkids loved it. There was room for everyone to spread out. We had no problem with the wifi connection the way we do with most hotels. And the TV had at least 100 channels. There is a TV in the patio area and plenty of nice tables and chairs. Please get rid of the old recliner. There are charcoal grills, kayaks and bicycles on site to use and the marina. We did not rent a boat but if we had one more day, we would have. Maybe next time. And then, of course, there is the price. This is the best place for the money that we have stayed in and we take get-a-way weekends several times a year.|Location||About||Photos||Summary?Edit review||3.9||Good||||178 reviews||Rooms3.6Location4.5Service4.3||What guests are sayingMORE||"Average place not bad, location nice, people friendly, staff helpful"||"Very nice employees and marina, but the hotel rooms need a bit fixed up."||"The small Marina attached to the facility was pretty cool...rented a pontoon..."||Couples3.7||Families4.2||||3.5/5 · 112 reviews||TripAdvisor||||3.7/5 · 282 reviews||Expedia.com||||3.8/5 · 269 reviews||Orbitz.com||||7.8/10 · 344 reviews||Booking.com||||3.4/5 · 263 reviews||Travelocity.com||||3.6/5 · 92 reviews||Hotels.com||Reviews||||Most helpful||||All reviews||||Ellen Mackerowski5/55 hours ago on  Google||My husband and I spent several days here and our children and grandchildren joined us for the weekend. Ok, this is a cute and small place for the beginning of your honeymoon...

Even laughed when I looked at the woman across the parking lot smoking under the "no smoking on the grounds" sign.

Careful in the bathroom, it is the thinnest of the single ply tp... was afraid

But getting done from a 11 hour drive from SC and you lay on the bed and it's springs and you sink in it, not a good way, you start questioning it. We walk in and the bed, I pictured (not the picture they have with Ai bed), is there, I think "ok not going to be bad." It was bad. Those springs were worn and tired either from the mattress or the frame. There's a nice middle part of it where you don't sink, but if you or your wife roll over, everybody sinks. It was hard to get comfortable. My feet were a little higher than my head.

And, there were bumpy things under the sheet... Crumbs? From what? I don't know, but hey better than bed bugs.

Again, I was pooped from a long drive and ready for bed, could have hit the bed and be out. Went to bed at 8ish and a 6:30 am wake up... could not fall asleep. Bed, poor a/c struggling to keep the place cool (not cold, cool) in Florida June loud, the noise from the road could he heard. When I finally fell asleep, some guy drove past full throttle at 11 (just dozed off between 10:30- 11) I know the resort can't control motorists, but can help soundproofing. I got about 5 hours after getting up at 2am the night before.

Wife and I were up at 5am, both looked at each other, got up, got ready, packed, and out.

We hated canceling a 4 night booking, but we knew we couldn't do the weekend here.

They were ok with canceling Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night for us. Still charged us for the night we spent (understanding). I hate leaving bad reviews, look at my review history, 4-5s, but this was a damper on the beginning of our honeymoon. $20 more and we booked an Air BnB on Fort Myers Beach area, one minute walk to the beach. Fluff towels, comfy comfy beds, quiet inside from the outside noise, and the pictures of the Air BnB were the actual pictures and not a Ai inserted bed in a pic (yes I know there are rooms and then there are lofts available at Latitude, but you can clearly see on pic has an inserted bed that doesn't belong in the picture)(look at the bed I pictured).

This places has such potential, but it wasn't there...
