I can't say enough good things. It's not that it's the fanciest hotel I've ever stayed in it's just everything I wanted and needed. I got a great price on Priceline. But by no means was that the best thing about this. I walked into the room it was super cute. Tons of cabinets a full size refrigerator a great sink coffee maker a two-burner cooktop paper towels salt pepper forks plates I was just really surprised I don't know if I've ever stayed in a Candlewood before but I certainly was not expecting this.
Moving over to the room there's a great huge bar countertop to put everything I would need a nice TV in the corner placed really well to save space. Moving over to the bed it was perfect it slept well it was clean great lighting really nice bathroom full size mirror and one of my favorite touches was a reclining chair that seemed to be more than extra. I just didn't think I would need a reclining chair after having driven a long trip but once I got in it and was able to put my feet up and it aimed toward the television, I realized this was a room that I will seek out in the future. I will certainly look for candlewood suites first in all of my future hotel stays. I called my wife and told her how great it was and sent pictures etc again not an incredibly fancy room but clean and everything and hope for and more. The folks at the front desk were great. Real people with real smiles who took care of me very quickly. I cannot say enough good things about this place if there were six stars I would rate it six stars. Oh and one of the biggest surprises... Downstairs where you check in is a little kind of corner pantry convenience area they have lots of items mostly food and drink and some small amenities it's not that they were all included for free. They have a little slip of paper where everything is done on the honor system and you take anything you need and you mark it on your slip and they charge it to your room. The thing that surprised me the most was how affordable all the items were. I spent 30 minutes at the grocery store before coming here not knowing that they had this. I would have saved money by buying the food at the hotel concierge pantry room thing :-) really great selection really great prices and the whole honor system part was refreshing and something you just don't see anymore in this day and age. Once again absolutely love this place. Great job. I will...
Read moreI thought the beds were a little bit hard but once I was able to get to sleep I stayed asleep. I'm a night worker so I had difficulty being so close to the elevator and the individual who checked in above me was Extremely Loud to the point of shaking the pictures on my wall and waking me up all day long.
The cupboard downstairs was a godsend several times simply because I didn't have very much time to go get something to eat due to working 15 hours a day. The laundry service was always available when I needed it and it was free other than having to buy detergent which is unusual for a hotel chain and was very appreciated. My room was clean, the facilities wer very nice except my bathroom where the toilet was cracked on the inside which was mostly decorative, and the bathroom is self seemed very small. My towels were rough for my taste but clean. There was ample electrical outlets and places to plug in my devices. I was annoyed by having to log into the internet every 24 hours instead of having the standard 7 Day Option but the internet itself was very good. The grounds were clean but the hotel was very close to the road and my room was on the front side so the traffic noise frequently woke me up during the day. I think if one were sleeping at night like normal people it would probably be better since the traffic was much less at that time, particularly the large trucks. The staff was always very pleasant, knowledgeable, and willing to help...
Read moreStayed for two nights. First night was fine. Beds are comfortable enough. Room was clean with the exception of finding a crayon under the nightstand. I'm glad I looked under the sink in the bathroom or I would have never seen the trash bin in there. Night two is when we apparently got new neighbors above us. Heavy walking around and stomping/hopping...idk all started around 8 or 9pm and didn't stop for hours. We hit the ceiling and yelled at them and all that. Got nothing in response. It continues. As I write this I have had about 4 hours of sleep. So yes, thin walls. There is also only one set of elevators for all the floors. If you are very elderly or disabled I suggest asking for a room on the first floor or very close to the elevator doors. Because you will be walking around the building/and/or up stairs to your room. There is a fitness room and pool but I didn't partake in those things this time. The employees seemed nice enough. They acknowledged us when we walked in and out. Etc. Not much to eat in the area. Just the same ol same ol. So all in all, ok hotel. I'd probably still stay again if I was in the area and...
