The Chop House Carrollton — Restaurant in Carrollton

October 2 2021 My wife and I both had dinner at the Chop House tonight. As usual everything was fantastic. If you haven't tried this place yet you have no idea what you are missing. If your worried about the prices DON'T. Let me tell you I am a big guy every since we have been going there I have never been able to finish a meal there. There is so much food on the plate I usually get 2 meals out of 1 plate of food. Plus all of there foods are made there. Everything is delicious. Everything I have tried there is amazing. But I do have to admit the pork chops dinner is my personal favorite. I have watched the plates come out of the kitchen they are all loaded. The service is also amazing they are all so courtesy and helpful. Plus I have never ever seen a restaurant where the owners are actually out there interacting with the customers busing tables delivering food. You name it they do it. . So now you have no excuse for not trying this place. I tell you once you go there one time you will be back. . It is like I said GREAT FOOD, FAMILY FRINDLY, , GREAT SERVICE, GREAT PEOPLE, YOU GONNA LOVE...

Beautiful place comfortable environment. Menu looked great. Prices are fair. We drove 45 minutes to try the Chop House out for lunch. Party of 9. I got the double chicken sandwich and could not finish half of it because there was so much pepper it was inedible. The fries were about 1/3 of a serving. My wife got the loaded nachos. They were not so loaded. More like a half an order with minimal toppings. Barely any cheese. Didn't see the young waitress until she came with the bill. She did leave a pitcher of water for us earlier. She charged me for bacon and cheese on my sandwich that I didn't order. And tried to justify the charge claiming that the sandwich came with bacon and cheese. I said then I shouldn't have to pay extra then. And it did not have bacon and cheese on it. I told her nicely that I wasn't going to give in. She agreed to correct the bill. Instead she brought it back uncorrected with $2. They had plenty of staff. So I don't understand why she was pre occupied. I can't say that I will recommend to...

We had party of 4 with reservations, seated promptly. The Bang bang cauliflower appetizer was perfectly roasted. Both the corn chowder and chicken soup were homestyle, rich flavor and hearty and served with crusty bread sticks. The side salad greens could have been more fresh and the salad lacked the expected garnishment of grated cheese, tomato, etc. Thick pork chops were well seasoned and juicy. Mahi was moist with a delectable side of Gradma Shiley's Taters. A Chop House sirloin ordered well done was served as cooked med well, sent back and returned as a flavorful, juicy yet well done steak with abundance of mushrooms in the marsala wine sauce. The Alfredo sauce was creamy but did not fully cover the pasta. A wonderful dining experience in a new restaurant and great service even though the kitchen was in process of training new staff.
