The staff was really friendly, but the actual purchase left me with a sour note. I bought some 18-2 stranded bulk wire the other day and wanted a full spool at the marked price of $49.99. The only spool they had left was one that was opened and some of it had been sold by the foot. The owner (manager?) must have known I was in a bind and he didn't budge on the price and charged me for the full spool. He said, "There's only one row missing." I was in a bind to finish a job and didn't know where the next closest store would be so I had to buy it. There may not have been all that much missing, but it wasn't a full spool either. Any discount, even a couple bucks would have gone a long way. Price gouging/highway robbery are terms that come to mind. I'll make a point of never stopping there again, not even for gas. I wouldn't recommend this...

Who doesn't love Aces hardware!? ESPECIALLY in Carrollton, Ohio! For personal service, its unbeatably top notch! They have almost all the answers for anything to do with household repairs or any DIY project you could have & if they can't answer your question they'll sure do their very best to find an answer for you or point you in the best direction! They even helped me catch an out of stock sale! When they ran out of an item I wanted while the sale was on they allowed me to purchase the item during the sale on a Tuesday & they called me less than 24hrs later sooner than they said it would be in & they even loaded it into the truck for me with zero wait time! They now have on line ads where the savings just keep...

I think this is a very nice clean store with much to offer considering its initial appearance of being small. The guys are always willing to help and give advice. But I frequently feel like I'm being looked down upon. The lady with the grey ponytail is always either giving me a hard time about a coupon that was mailed to us or even if she's not the one serving me she makes me feel like she doesn't like me, or something... looking at me. Idk she's just not very pleasant. But otherwise a very nice hardware store that has just about everything you're looking for. We are new homeowners...
