I wish there was a way to give this business a negative rating, I have stayed here so many times, and never had anything negative to say, but my experience last night was dreadful, when I first arrived we went into the room and the room smelled bad and the bathroom wasnt very clean, the tv was not working when I called about it the front desk said to flip threw the channels and it should work but it didnt work, so they moved us to the room next door I normally dont complain about something so small so I fidnt say anything but what happened next I felt I had to say something, I packed up all of our stuff and went down stairs to get the new key went all the way back up to the 3rd floor and got into the room, the room seemed okay, but the heating system was not working and then around 4am my husband and I woke up and there was a wasp climbing up his arm, I am VERY allergic to wasps so I jumped up and screamed and we were trying to get away from it, when we turned the light on it retreated back up into the light the front desk called up saying she recieved two complaints of noise coming from my room I explained to her what was happening we were about to call them ourselves about the issue before she called, mind you this is 6AM on a Sunday! She said I could come clear back to the first floor to get a FLY SWATTER from her, I was appalled the entire stay was a series of up and down from third floor to first and back up we did not get to enjoy our stay that I paid 84 dollars for!!!! To you that may not be alot but to us it was and to be wasted on a very awful experiance like this, I'm just not okay with that. I called back in once I left and left a message for the manager to call me back, and was told that they would when they got in, they never called I had to call them back and when I spoke to the manager Ashley, she was beyond disrespectful of me, wouldnt listen to anything I had to say, but because someone complained about the noise we cant be refunded for that awful stay, she said at 3 am they tried to come up and knock on our door about a noise complaint when we were dead asleep at this time, and we didn't answer she said how would you know we knocked then if you were asleep? Trying to trap me into saying something that I didnt say, I knew they knocked because she just told me they did, she said that she wont refund me because of other people complaining about noise from our room when they cant prove it was even our room causing the noise and because they had to refund me because they accidently charged me before for a no call no show when I never even made a reservation from the start! I felt beyond discriminated at this hotel and singled out, I will never stay here again and I really dont recomend it to anyone else if you plan to actually enjoy your stay and for the amount of money I spent that they OVERCHARGED ME to begin with I was quoted at 75.00 including tax and military discount and was charged 84.00, I called about it before check in and they said they would correct it but after the phone call with Ashley they only refunded me a whopping 5.00 I am disgusted with this hotel and the staff particularly the manager. At 5:36 PM, I sent a text message to your staff expressing concern about the compromised door, especially because I had a firearm with me and there was no in-room safe available. I also noted that my vehicle has a soft top, making it unsafe to store the firearm elsewhere. I received no response.||||While I was in the shower, an unknown man walked directly into my room. The door had not been secured because the frame was damaged. I immediately got dressed, packed my belongings, went to the front desk, returned my keys, and informed staff that I would not be staying due to the unsafe conditions. I checked out before 6:00 PM and found alternate accommodations. I did not feel safe—especially during Hall of Fame Weekend, when the hotel was full of rowdy male guests.||||Nearly two hours later, at 7:48 PM, I received a text from your team stating that maintenance had examined the door and confirmed it was secure. That message came long after I had already left and reported the issue in person. It was too late to address the concern and did nothing to change the fact that I was placed in a room that was not secure from the moment I checked in.||||I want to make it clear:|| • The door was broken upon arrival.|| • An unauthorized individual was able to enter my room while I was naked and in the shower.|| • I immediately checked out and reported the issue in person.|| • Your response was delayed and dismissive.||||This was an incredibly alarming and unacceptable experience. Read moreMy 5 is based on my putting Microtel in the budget line.|We have stayed here probably 5 times in the last 10 years when visiting the area for high school mini reunions. Previous stays were in the 4 + evaluation as the standard queen room is small . This trip we went for the suite as we were going to stay 2 nights and spend a little more time in the room. We selected the top floor to stay away from dogs and to add quietness. It was very quiet !|Cleanliness was 4.75 ( I can always find something for which I can deduct ) but I left my full tip amount. |Bed was soft but we slept well.Bathroom was big enough with decent counter space. Towels were good. Shower ok. Tub floor was just a little slick- not bad-but not an anti-slip surface. A hook on the back of the door would be helpful. A soap dish for the counter would help.|This is a mini suite with a half wall separation between bed and couch. A thin end table along the end of the couch to set a drink on would be nice. Tv is smaller than most other places we have stayed but ok.|A pen and paper would have been a nice addition.|All the staff we came in contact with were efficient and personable.|Breakfast was typical of this range of motels. Hot items are pre cooked, but were different each morning. Cold item selection was average. ||Making reservations is a must. There are only 2 motels within a 30 + mile range.
