Days Inn by Wyndham Carthage — Hotel in Carthage

The location was hard to get into because there is nothing along the ride to show you where the entrance to the Hotel is. Once checked in that evening went into the room and found the beds made, sink and bath room tub clean but the floors were terrible. You walk on the carpet and your feet get dirty. We had outside room that had two doors, one to outside and one to go to the lobby. Opening the lobby door (picture attached) you can see how much dirt was in the hall ways. If it had not been so late at night when we stopped we would have found another hotel to stay at. Very disappointed in the cleanliness of this hotel. Advertised as "we are committed to providing you the level of service you have come to expect from the Wyndham name".

There was dog hair all over the place and dog food along with dirt.

We expressed the dirty floors to the staff when we checked out to just get told that "well I have not been here for a couple days". The level of dirt on the floors was not from a couple days! Even showed the picture I took; thought the staff would express something or be surprised but nothing.

Never offered any type of refund or reduced price.

We will not stay here again!! I would suggest that anyone looking for a hotel in Carthage think twice about staying here. I would not give any "Stars" for this place but forced to in order to share...

We I arrived it took almost 20 minutes just to check in for an reservation already made. Said they would need my card and there would be a pending transaction for about $5. The room was paid for already by my company. They charged my personal card instead of my company card. Charged me for $191 and $143. This made my account go negative. I was charged by my bank $35 because it overdraft my account. The lady got the manager involved and she edited the transaction and said ill be refunded for those charges. When I said there responsible for the over draft fee she just said sorry it was a human error and then said have not made error before. She pretty much said its not there problem. I told her im going to record her saying it was there fault and was very rude at this point. Told me she won't speak to me if I do. I stopped and she continued to be rude as I was explaining its there obligation to pay this fee they caused. It wouldn't have been to bad but both the counter girl and manager act like $350 isnt some big deal. They don't see they took my money with authorization. Be ready for a call from my bank and lawyer is the last thing I said she she told she will be. Oh and if you're going to have someone as a manager they need speak better but that was even more aggravating. I was treated like I was in the wrong when they technically...

TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!! This has got to be the absolute WORST excuse of a hotel that I've encountered since this has changed over from economy lodge! Not only would the General manager refuse to speak to me in person or by phone due to it being her day off . The Assistant Manager was extremely rude and condescending towards me and my family. Then had the nerve to Insult us by offering to give us a $5 refund (Taken from the maids pay) for the treatment we endured after being bitten by a brown recluse in our bed. We were under that these things happen but to be woke up to the maid walking in our room then banging things and slamming our door closed and waking up my little girl was completely out of line! I must hand it to The assistant manager however. She was an expert smart ass , throwing her general manager under the bus at every opportunity possible while keeping her stoic appearance and poker face as she repeatedly said " What do you want me to do about it? I can only offer you my sincere apology as I'm only the assistant, yet in the same sentence said she made all the decisions due to the fact the general manager never comes in to work and never does her job when she was there".... I have never in my life been more disappointed and dissatisfied as I was this stay and DON'T recommend setting foot...
