Donut Palace — Restaurant in Carthage

I would rather buy our donuts from Walmart than support this business with one more penny!!!! The food may be good but the owner is a mean heartless man that after dealing with him it makes the food worthless!!! I used to purchase from here pretty much daily, my daughter loves the donut holes but one morning our door dasher stole our order, you would think it would be as simple as getting the order again. Nope not with this guy, so I reorder everything and pay again, it says order cancelled so I try again the new dasher gets there (sweet kid) he tried very hard to get my order called me and the owner wouldn't replace the order because it had already been picked up. So I call and talk to him myself explain what happened and he tells me that he won't remake the order he isn't getting paid only door dash is and hangs up on me, so then I call door dash support and they assured me that he was getting paid and tried to monitor the order for me this time to make sure everything went right but he decided to stop taking all door dash orders. I spent $20 on a dozen donuts all for my kids not to even eat them because they tasted nasty he hasn't changed the grease and forever from what I'm understanding when I called him he told me he never changes the grease he never filters it out and I'm sorry but I've worked it fast food for quite a long time and I know donuts aren't really fast food but they are and you have to change the grease or at least filter it every week I understand that he does them fresh every morning or they do it fresh every morning I talked to a gentleman on the phone but they were nasty as hell My kids barely till they took one bite out of him and threw them back in the box and said they were disgusting My kids love donuts like love donuts so for them to say it's nasty that's saying something maybe he needs to start...

The donuts are really good, but there is one thing we have noticed, they have cut the size of the long John's in half not the size they used to be. The other donuts are small to, not the normal size. The clear glaze icing is different and real sticky like glue. It doesn't taste like regular glaze icing. There biscuits taste like canned biscuits not from scratch. My grandson and I were in there the other day in the morning. I used the restroom and the trash was overflowing from day before and no toilet paper, just napkins to use. The sink was filthy to.
