Been here for nine nights apartment hunting and will literally never forget how nicely I was treated. There are genuine hotel-people running this hotel. The Chase IHG premier card (now, I've got the old one) gets you the platinum elite status at all IHG brands, which is a real value for upgrades, for sure, everywhere I've stayed, especially compared to other card-based status levels I have. This place is set back nicely from the busy Date Palm Drive, but with super easy and, more or less, direct access anywhere via cross-valley surface streets. I love Cathedral City for that very reason. Comfortable bed, with a firm pillow-top mattress. Two feather pillows and two hypo pillows, each in two densities. This pool and mountain view room (suite?) also has a fold out love-seat sofa sleeper (and bedding). There is a good work desk and plenty of power outlets throughout the room on each table lamp. Strong A/C and plenty of TV for the scale of it all. Excellent space for in-room dining or entertaining. Everything was quite clean and in good working order. Housekeeping never missed a thing. Excellent wifi in all areas of the hotel and pool area outside. Fridge, microwave, and Keurig in-room, along with breakfast downstairs in early a.m. Laundry and workout facilities, along with great dayroom overlooking the pool/spa area. I enjoyed using the dayroom as a(n almost) private office with a super view to get out of the room some. Only occasionally were other people hanging out. The landscaping of this property is just spectacular. The mountain vistas are really perfectly framed. Hawaii can have that effortlessly jaw-dropping capacity, but this is the California desert. Here it's all deliberate. I think the value offered by this hotel far exceeds the cost.

Second stay here, Holiday Inn Express and Suites Cathedral City, and they have yet failed to impress. Facility is undergoing renovation, though except for the boxes of new furniture around lobby you can hardly tell. I was upgraded to a King suite (whether because am an IHG Platinum member, or courtesy from Hotel because of renovation, doesn't matter) when after unloading things realized water in bathroom wasn't working... Front desk was on top of it instantly!! Gave me another suite, offered to help with my belongings, and before I made it back upstairs to switch out facility Maintenance Staff member right there "BAM!!"! Apologized for the inconvenience multiple times and reassuring me problem would be resolved ASAP. Left the Hotel for less than 45 mins. came back and as I walked thru front door, staff member at front desk gave me a thumbs up and said all is taken care of... It was. Room is well suited for you and a guest as well if you need to entertain for the evening, with ample space and a great view. Pool was a bit warm, but with 116 degree weather for past week what do you expect, though had pool all to myself the first evening and was refreshing to retreat from the temperatures outside... Recommended and will for sure be returning. **UPDATE** I am fortunate enough to be the very first guest in the brand new recorded rooms, let me say WOW!!!! What a transformation! See the updated photos and you will know why you need to come and stay here... The new pics are just the standard room as well, can't wait to see the new suites!!

This was our first time to Palm Springs, as well as first time to a Desert location and we really enjoyed ourselves. Our stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cathedral City was fantastic. Although the Hotel was undergoing some renovations and painting at the time, we were not disturbed at all due to the work and were advised that the windows at some point during our stay may end up being covered with plastic from the outside which was no problem at all. The workers we occasionally bumped into near the Elevators and Hallway were incredibly polite and respectful. I'd give this a 5 star, but unfortunately the 1 and only negative aspect was the beds for me. They were a bit too firm for my tastes, so that took 1 star off, although to focus on the positive aspects, the staff were super friendly and helpful. Eva was amazing, as our first room had a very noisy A/C Unit, although the very next morning we let her know and she provided a room upgrade which was perfect for the remainder of our stay (besides the also firm mattress.) The rooms are very clean and otherwise comfortable. The Pool was fantastic on our visit, and going for a dip when it was 40c/104f was great way to stay comfortable. Definitely consider giving them a try, and I hope in the future they'll have rooms with softer mattresses.

I would like to take a brief moment as an IHG Platinum Ambassador to thank Jason for his five-star level of elevated Guest Experience/Service and answering my questions about the area attractions and Hotel. Jason is full of ideas about the local (covid-19 safe!) attractions and the current state of the situation of amenities at "Holiday Inn Express and Suites Cathedral City" during the Covid-19 pandemic, as as things open up. For instance Jason reminded me that the pool is open with social distancing but the hot tub is temporarily closed because it would not be possible for guests to stay 6 ft apart, which means the hotel os following CA guidelines.

Jason's insight into what was open directly in Palm Springs was really helpful in terms of nightlife, dancing, etc (it's all open now! :) ), Not to mention his care and concern for safety and how the hotel is safely cleaning and following all guidelines for social distancing (and the upcoming Statewide relaxing of pandemic practices) hence why the gym is closed at the time I'm writing this.

Jason's ability to professionally and easily change from speaking with me over the phone to then resolving multiple guest issues at the same time (while still valuing my time while and concerns) was truly exceptional - something one would expect from a manager at a Kimpton or Intercontinental. (Think he made guest key cards following all protocols correctly for a guest that had a keycard issue, confirmed safety and availability of pool, and nonverbally welcomed guests with a smile in passing all within our interaction, which takes a fair amount of skill and focus in order to sincerely make me all guests feel appreciated/welcomed which I certainly did!)

Jason, night auditor who works during the night/graveyard shift is one to watch - He (Jason) is going places in IHG, mark my words! What a great first impression of the caliber of service and personal care at this Cathedral City Holiday Inn Express and Suites. Thank you Jason! Best, Court Noyes.

Tips:

-It is about 10 to 15 minutes from either Palm springs center or PSP airport, if that according to Jason it depends on traffic.

-by the time you stay covid-19 restrictions may have lifted, be sure to ask for the current update

-Jason Express that having a rental car to visit Joshua tree is the better option compared to getting a lift or an Uber since it takes about an hour or an hour and a half to reach different entrances on Joshua tree, and you can drive through the park and experience a lot both from the vehicle and on foot. It was news to me that seeing Joshua Tree National Park would take an entire day, and I was impressed that Jason was informed about this even though it had nothing to do with the hotel.

-If you sort for IHG properties by their rating in the area, you will notice that there are lots of Holiday Inn Express options, but this one comes up as not only close to Palm Springs and in the heart of Cathedral City, but it also has the highest rating. I bet it is due to interactions with people like Jason that make the...

We recently spent a long weekend at the Hampton Inn Cathedral City, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel provided a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the Palm Springs area, with a range of amenities that made our stay enjoyable.

The hotel is strategically located, just a short drive from downtown Palm Springs and other nearby attractions. It’s nestled in a quieter area, allowing for a peaceful retreat while still being accessible to restaurants, shops, and outdoor activities. We appreciated the proximity to hiking trails and the stunning desert scenery.

Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. We had a king-sized bed that was incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful nights. The room featured modern decor and included a mini-fridge and microwave, which were convenient for storing snacks and leftovers from nearby restaurants.

The bathroom was also very clean, with plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the shower. We noticed that the hotel uses eco-friendly toiletries, which was a nice touch.

Amenities Breakfast: One of the highlights of our stay was the complimentary breakfast. The spread included a variety of options, such as fresh fruits, pastries, yogurt, and a make-your-own waffle station. There were also hot items like scrambled eggs and sausage, which made for a satisfying start to our days.

The outdoor pool area was a great spot to relax after a day of exploring. The pool was well-maintained, and we enjoyed lounging on the sunbeds. There was also a hot tub, which was perfect for unwinding in the evenings.

The staff at the Hampton Inn Cathedral City were friendly and accommodating. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk personnel offered helpful recommendations for local dining and attractions. Housekeeping was prompt and ensured our room was well-maintained throughout our stay.

Our long weekend at the Hampton Inn Cathedral City was enjoyable. The combination of comfortable accommodations, a great breakfast, and helpful service made it a solid choice for our getaway. While it may not have all the luxury amenities of higher-end resorts, it offers great value for the price. We would definitely consider returning for another stay in the future, especially for its convenient location and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended for couples and families looking for a comfortable stay in the Palm...
