On Friday 12/22/2023 I reserved a double room at the Super 8. When I arrived I checked into the hotel and was given the key to the room with no issues or problems. Once the lady at the front desk saw my two stepsons who are african american she immediately said that they couldn't stay there. I told her that those are my stepsons and we weren't spending the night, we came to just relax play games and celebrate the holidays. We proceeded to the room and were playing games ,15 minutes later the phone rings and the lady at the front desk tells me that I signed a contract stating that I couldn't have any visitors so I proceeded to go up to the front desk and ask the lady what the issue was and that there has been no disturbance and there was a guy at the front desk with her and he was talking about its only suppose to be 1 guest in the room and so I asked him so how much more is it and neither he or she ever gave me the amount or that I had to pay extra, which I used my wyndham rewards for a free night she stated that there was only to be 1 guest in the room which she didn't mention that in the beginning when I was checking in and received the room key and that I couldn't have any visitors. I asked to see the CONTRACT that she claimed that I had signed and she refused to show it to me and stated that she will show it to the police when they arrive. At that point that I informed her that I work as the Front Desk manager at the Americ Inn and that they are a part of wyndham and that there isn't a policy in place where a guest cannot have visitors. My wife started recording the incident and she said to my wife that she couldn't record her and that she was calling the police because my wife was recording her. I called the police and they came to address the situation and asked the lady what the problem was and she stated first that my wife was recording her and the police officer informed her that she had every right to record and he asked her for the contract which wasn't a contract it was a receipt and it didn't state on the receipt that you couldn't have guest in the hotel and that we weren't staying all night. She still couldn't give a reason of why she had a issue with us. The police officer informed us that they weren't called out for a disturbance. I explained to the officer the reason of us being there and he asked how would we like to resolve this situation and we informed him that we would be contacting the corporate office and reporting this property. They basically racially profiled my sons because they were african american and I will be sending the videos also to corporate office. For future guest who decide to book this hotel DO NOT BOOK A ROOM at this hotel if you are african american or have african american males in...
Read moreWARNING!!!! RACIST FACILITY!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! If you’re African American, or have biracial children, RUN!!!!. I rented a room there for a week stay. On the second day, I had to leave town, I was going to pick up my son from another state . I did Informed Gabe, which was the front desk clerk at the time. That I was departing and will soon return. I returned on the fourth day. I’m resting In my room get a call from my son around 2am. He says to me, “ can you come get me from across the street. I replied, why, what’s wrong? He tells me, the lady at the front desk, stops me as I was passing the office and ask me, where am I going? He stated to her, “ To My Room”. She says to him, “what room, what’s the number”, he tells her the room number, and she replies,” No, that’s not your room...you’ don’t stay there! He stated to her,” yes It Is!” She begins to tell him, you gotta leave the property. If you don’t, I’m calling the CRPD. I’m convinced this woman was the GM by the name of PEGGY, or Rhonda. Anyhow... She wanted a person from out of town, to leave and go where here??? He’s trying to convince her that he does stay there, and his mom Is up stairs. She wasn’t trying to hear nothing he had to say. She calls the police anyhow. I’ve rushed down stairs, 8 months pregnant barley can walk, cause of the many complications I have. There’s already 3 cop cars on the Seen. I was located at the facility, talking to the desk clerk or GM. The other two cop cars across the street, talking to my son, cause she had him escorted off the property. They Informed him, that If he went back on the property, he will be arrested. All this cause she assumed, “he didn’t stay there”, cause he was black.. It’s sad to know racism still exist In our society. I plan to pick up the report tomorrow morning. I will be filing a discrimination against her, and Wyndham for hiring such a person. I have everything on...
Read morePet owners and non smokers beware!! Stayed one night and although reported to be a non smoking facility, the entire place stank of weed. Our main room was basically clean, the bathroom had a dead beetle and hair all over the shower drain. Gross. The doors to the building did not lock properly and our room door did not lock unless intentionally pulled tight to lock. This was concerning because we have kids and we did not feel safe. Not a very pet friendly place despite their description. We checked in and left for dinner, left our dogs in the room and were gone 15 minutes when we got a call about our dogs barking. We turned around without dinner and came to the room where our dogs were NOT barking and were asleep on the floor. Next day at checkout we see a $100 charge for the dogs being disruptive. Thats on top of the $20 per pet charge from check in. There is no where in their policy that states you cannot leave a pet unattented in the room. And "disruptive"? It was 15 minutes of unattended where it was questionable if they even made noise, and they were with us for the rest of the stay without making noise. Pet owners beware: this place may try to scam you and take advantage of...
