I found shopping online for a mattress for the first time in 13 years to be overwhelming and decided to stop into Mattress Firm while running errands. Paulina greeted me and the customers she was showing out commented to me that “she’s the best!! The BEST!” They were 100% right. We went through my preferences, their own mattress matching test, and then she narrowed down the choices for me and explained why. She gave me tips for best practices when testing a mattress, and patiently waited for me (insisting I spend as much time as I could laying on each) to make my assessments. I ended up choosing the movable frame with al the features that track sleep quality and I’m astonished to see that it’s as accurate as my watch and phone apps without being connected to anything more than the mattress. In fact, I’ve already learned a lot from the app (eg that I sleep an average of 13 additional minutes and get more deep sleep on days when I’ve exercised) and am so happy I went for the higher-tier model.

I purchased the Tempurpedic Luxebreeze in medium-hybrid and am still assessing it but love it so far (and love knowing for a small fee I can swap it out after 30 days, per their policy). I’m 5’9 and 135 lbs and it feels firmer than what was in the store but she warned me that might be the case and there’s a period of “settling” that the mattress will go through. It might be a tad too firm for someone with my body weight but I love the cooling and overall feel so far, even if I trade it in for the softer model.

There was a good variety of mattresses and accessories to try out in the showroom, but the helpful staff made the experience of buying a mattress a safe and enjoyable one. Jackie walked my wife and I through different options giving us valuable opinions for king and California mattresses, along with an adjustable base and accessories.
