Booked in the name: Barbara Herzog 9/8 -9/11 2022. Room very basic but clean. Adding a small fridge could help and grab bars in bathroom as safety factor. A solid core or metal door would also be very beneficial, as you will see from our experience. Service was minimal at best, some due to covid policy in MA. other, remains unclear.
We were on Second floor, Room was booked for 3 nights, second night a fight broke out in the room next to us. After waiting a bit to see if incident would quiet down, which it did, we relaxed, thinking the incident was under control. A short time later, the arguing started again. The fight escalated. Much yelling and shouting at least 3 different voices, inside and outside of our room. In concern for our safety and of a woman we heard screaming, windows being broken and wood being splintered, we called front desk to inform them. At this time, we requested police to be called. The fight continued outside of our room. From one of the parties involved, we heard "he has a gun". My friend and I were avoiding windows, doors and were about to barricade ourselves in the bathroom.
There seemed to be an intervention and eventually, everything quieted down. This incident played out well over an hour.
Around 11:30 pm, we were disturbed again by the sounds of an electric drill and hammering. The broken window and door were being secured. All during that time, Management never made the attempt to let us know what happened, check on our well being or reassure us that everything had been resolved. Being traumatized and exhausted from not sleeping, we decided to check out a day early. As we were heading to the hotel lobby, 2 lovely women walking their pet called out to ask how we were. They informed us that they were so concerned for us, THEY called the police. Long story short, our request to speak with the manager and view property video fell on deaf ears. We were not charged the 3rd night after much back and forth conversation with two different front desk staff. Our request to speak with Manager Patel and be reimbursed for the second night was denied.
I have been in contact with the hotel regarding how refund for the third night was posted. I also expressed my dismay again about being charged for the fight night. I was told by Jacqueline, I could have just left and gone home if I was that scared. It wasn't just us affected, there were other guests. Agreed, but they were not in our room, with physical body and property being damaged. Fighting ensuing on the balcony in FRONT of our door. I asked Jacqueline to put herself and family in our place, how would she have felt? Response...she hung up the phone. I called back, hangup.
To this day, almost 2 wks later, there has been no response from the manager or guest services. Being in the hospitality business myself, this is unacceptable.
Mr. Patel, you, as the manager, are responsible for your guests well being and comfort. A personal phone call or chat acknowledging the incident, would have gone a long way. I would also strongly suggest retraining your guest service staff. After all, your guests help you keep...
Read moreWe parked our vehicle by first room assigned and there was a huge glass liquor bottle right there in unmowed grass next to parking. I have new tires so moved and The second place we parked had metal spoons in high unmowed grass and weeds with a pile of cigarette butts by both our vehicle doors. . We changed parking places and rooms due to the non smoking room we were first given was as smoky stale smell as it could possibly be. The girl at the front desk said it was from burned food (as if that would be any better than smoke)...it was Not better and it was Not burned food. ||The lock on our door had been broken at one time with a bent metal repair in place. ||Sat on one bed to change shoes and the bumper base of the opposite bed had a white stain, a red stain and a black stain. So gross but it had only gotten later, with us more tired, hadn't eaten and we knew the burnt food girl at the desk would be a huge problem to get our payment refunded. ||||Its not safe there...woken up twice by a guy above us outside first Very LOUDLY wishing a woman a very good nite and have the rest of a wonderful evening and her thanking him after midnite. Then again at 2 am that man and a woman arguing cussing outside above us also. Same guy- different woman so likely he lives there. Woken one more time at 420 am by him/them right outside our window. Theres no way the office didnt hear all the commotion-everybody else could.|| If you can sleep here while checking the safety of yourselves and your vehicle and expecting to hear cop cars pull up during the nite . ..good luck. ||||The furniture was missing a drawer the desk was missing a chair and the water runs freezing cold a long long time waiting for even warm. I almost gave up on a shower until i realized the trickle at the top was finally a little warm. The top sheet of first bed had cigarette burn holes in it. Yuck! Ick! Showers taken again in morning after attempting to sleep there. ||We stay at motel 6 all the time and this is honestly the worse one ever from west coast to new york and not in their usual range of ||properties. It was not cheap at all being the Highest Price!! of any stays on our 10 state trip ...both ways. ||When you drive around from this place...its a cute landscaped town and neighborhood so not sure why this property is Allowed to be such an eyesore. We found an excellent to go restaurant and people were very nice in this area. Except- This motel was not friendly at all, like you are bothering them by staying there. ||||We wont stay with motel 6 again! We switched this trip to Choice for clean, comfort, confidence...

so I have to give an update on this motel, they have been putting in a lot of work to improve on this hotel so I want to give them credit for this;
I have stayed here subsequently a few more times and the service was great, they fixed the issue with the WIFI and the rooms were very clean.
I would recommend, but keep it in mind, they are still located in the hood and still get ghetto customers (fighting in the middle of the night) but that's not the motels fault, people are just bad sometimes.
good motel, with access to everything.

First I want to give the new owners credit for upgrading the hotel; they have completely renovated the hotel rooms and I want to give the credit for that.
the staff is very helpful and friendly and I want to acknowledges them as well Big shout to Mio (Miokaysha) her service was next level and I appreciate her hard work.
now the down-side
the internet does not work properly. I spent 5 hours trying to get log onto the WIFI. The staff really couldn't assist with the wifi, but they did provide the number for tech support ( 1-866-646-9434)
I spoke with technical support ( Tracy) and she did everything she could to assist, but was unable to assist and the only option she could offer was to either stand outside (in a down-pour of rain) or stand next to the door. she did provide a ticket # 5472806, but I gave up trying, since it was 1:30am
So I thought I could take a nice hot bath, since I had to use my own internet-hotspot, to log on, but afterwards it took the tub 1 1/2 hours to drain.
Even though it may have been well intentioned, you should not put (hide) religious paraphernalia in the room. The days of having the book of Mormon in every hotel room is gone.
As upgrades are being made to this hotel, you have to make sure that you have the basics down. (accessible internet and a amenities that function properly).
Please..... do better.

So I was passing through the area again, last minute and was able to check in pretty quick
the staff was fine, with no issues, room was very clean, wifi worked fine so kudos to the hotel.
