A nice quiet place to enjoy some relaxing time outdoors. The city has put a lot of time improving the park over the. The wooden bridge over the small lake was a welcome addition. If you want to picnic there are plenty of nice tables all over the park as well as concrete walking trails if you want to get some exercise in a beautiful setting. Be sure to stop and admire the huge cottonwood tree on the north side And for the kids there's the iconic Lions Club playground that I played in as a child 60 years ago. The park is clean. It's my go to place to relax and clear my head. This park is one of the largest and finest small town parks in Northwest Texas.    Read moreThis park is so coolo. It's relieving to know that the old fashioned "dangerous" equipment is still around for children to enjoy and love. I hate modern parks. I'd pick a scorching metal slide and super spinning wheel thingy over any woodchipped foam safe park. However, this park did have that trendy modern equipment as well so it can satisfy all political parties! The monkey bars and long so if you're an adult and working on your grip strength, this is a good place to train.
There are plenty of picnic areas, even a great big shaded pavilion to enjoy a leisurely lunch. I didn't get a chance to swim in the pool but it looked nice. The bathrooms could use some improvement however. No soap and it was nasty inside.

   Read moreSuch a beautiful and clean park! We enjoyed walking around the lake, seeing ducks and swans, plus lots of mature trees for shade. The meandering stamped concrete pathway is wide and well maintained. There's a nice fountain in the water and a charming "covered bridge" as a part of the walkway. Bonus for us was affordably spending the night at one of their RV 5 spaces, with 30/50 hook ups and water! Walked 5 blocks and enjoyed great BBQ for dinner! A Disc golf course...
