Okay let's start by saying that I am in hotel's/motel's across the us, 15 to 17 days a month due to work, and I honestly don't know how to explain the last week at Americinn by Wyndham, 11 South Ave, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729. Due to always being on the road for work i have the honer of having wyndham diamond reward benefit's, which apparently means absolutely nothing in my own small town backyard, but anyway's I took a week's vacation to spend time with my children where we went has already been established, just like with work I asked to be switched to a different room after 3 day's, which the staff made a huge deal of when it wasn't, needless to say they didn't want to switch my room after they finally did, they called me in the new room about 4 hours later, and asked me if I had cats in the room, I said no I just have the one dog that was with me when I checked in, they did not believe me and came to my room to search it for cats!!!! Which I can say was so far past extremely rude, and completely pissed me off, but any way they did not find any cat's, but instead they charged my credit card $200, because the room apparently smelled like cats even though they found no cat's!! later that night a staff member told my 3 children that they had to be at least (25) yes he actually said 25! to be in the pool without a an adult, when I went down there I asked him how many 18 to 25 year olds come here with there parents just to be able to swim or use the hot tub lol, he just walked away from me whispering something to himself, I'm sure it was about me, after following him to get his name because he was not wearing a name tag on his shirt, he went into a employee only room, and shut the door, I did not waste my time to wait for him. The following day 2 staff members came to my room with a manager, and the 3 of them extremely rudely proceeded to tell me that they could not extend my stay because of the circumstances, I asked them what they were talking about, because I had not asked them to extend my stay nor did I book any other rooms on thef web, and they said no, nothing like that they just wanted to tell me directly that they couldn't extend my stay!!!! Needless to say that I was honestly behond words, I felt like I was being punked, or someone was playing a joke on me, but to this day no one told me that's what was happening, so you can only imagine how disrespected I felt. I was on a vacation with my 3 children, and dog, and we were not treated kindly nor were we treated with any respect like paying guests should be treated, instead I paid a little over $1100 to be treated and disrespected like a young child. I am currently seeking a full refund, I have never been treated, or disrespected like that in my...
Read moreAt first glance the hotel looked ok at check in.||Traveling with my sister and wanted to relax by the pool. It was 3pm when we went to the pool area. The first thing we noticed was 2 gentlemen sitting by a table in the pool area, dressed in coats and long pants and each had a duffel bag on the table. Minutes later they opened the door and let in 2 younger women who also were carrying their overnight bags. Every time one would get up and exit, they would let in another person toting a bag. It was unusual and somewhat unsettling to see 6 men and 2 women all with dufflebags and no pool attire taking up the tables at the pool. The women both went and used the pool restrooms, apparently showering. They then set up their makeup and hair tools and did their personal grooming at the poolside tables. Again none of them had swimwear on and never entered the pool. It was actually a bit scary not knowing why they all had dufflebags and what they were doing there. They all stayed at least 2 hours just taking up the tables and doing their grooming. It was apparent they were either homeless or possibly truck drivers that were using the facilities without having a room.||When we returned from dinner we asked the desk clerk if that was common to have so many people just taking up the tables, especially seeing they had several signs saying “pool for registered guests only”.||She said they allow open swim from 9-5 daily, so clearly word got around and it was used as a meeting place for homeless that want a shower and shelter.||Later we noticed a guy sleeping in his pickup truck in the parking lot and recognized him as one of the pool visitors earlier. So be prepared to share the private pool area to anyone who comes off the street.||As for the room, at first glance it looked ok, but when I dropped the remote and had to move the nightstand to retrieve it, I noticed it hadn’t been cleaned in quite sometime. I even found a condom wrapper covered in dust and some random snacks under the bed. Gross.||The security lock on our door was broken off and there were pry marks on the door itself…so we jammed a chair under the door to feel a little safer.||And for the view from our room…we had a semi trailer parked on the lawn, 4 feet from our window. based on the weeds around the tires and the random graffiti it was clear it had been there for sometime.||The hotel itself wasn’t horrible but I wouldn’t spend money to stay...
Read moreVery disappointed in our stay at this AmericInn. My family and I were put in a handicap room, we are not handicap and we didn't not book that room when we rented the room. I get they might not have had a normal room for us, but it was odd to be put in a such a room. Now the downside: The curtains were stained with what looked to be blood. The chair had white stains all over it and several towels also had stains on them as well. The toilet handle was broke and would only work if you held it down with force to flush. Our child could not flush it themselves. The bathroom door was also hard to close and it took force to push it closed also our child could not close the bathroom door. The flat sheets were too small for the bed, and kept pulling up all night long. The floor near the window/air conditioner was soaking wet. The life guard was very unfriendly and closed the slide down 10 minutes before it was suppose to be closed down, even when numerous kids were using the slide at that time. I had to argue during checkout that we paid through Expedia and not to bill our credit card. The only positive was that the pool area was nice. We live several hours away and debated just checking out after being there for an hour. The pictures seem decieving for what we ended up getting in our room. It was a bad enough experience that I will not be staying at an AmericInn hotel ever again...
