After a long day of traveling we checked into Country Inn. The male clerk was very friendly and nice. I told him my wife and I were very tired. He clerk told me, "I'll put you in a quiet end of the hotel.". I thanked him and walked to our room. While walking through the hallway, I noticed signs on some guest rooms indicating there was a girl's soccer team staying here. I have had past experiences with kid's sports teams and most weren't positive. After checking into the room, it only took five minutes for the yelling down the hallway and slamming doors to start. I gave it approximately a half an hour and called down to the front desk. The desk clerk said he would talk to the kids and ask them to hold it down. The noise continued. I went down and spoke with the clerk and he said there wasn't much he could do. I told him I paid for a quiet room and expected as much. I asked him where the parents were and he said they weren't around but they had already started drinking. This is unacceptable. I'm sure we weren't the only guests being disturbed. Having no recourse, my wife and I checked out of the hotel. The clerk looked frustrated but said he would cancel my reservation. My wife and I drove another hour to Lacrosse. We checked into a Hampton Inn. While checking in, I explained my experience with the Country Inn. He told me when sports teams check into their hotels, the parents sign a sheet stating the will keep their children under control. They are also advised if they don't, they will be asked to leave without receiving a refund. My wife and I travel a lot. We signed up for the Hilton's Honors program because of this policy. We have stayed at Country Inns in the past, but unfortunately, they will never receive any more of my business because of...
Read moreI stayed at the Country Inn & Suites, Chippewa Falls for a night while I was driving between Illinois and Minnesota. I thought it would be fun to stop for a night here so I could check out the Leinenikugel's brewery. I chose this hotel because it was one of the cheapest in Chippewa Falls the night I was staying.
I was really impressed by this hotel. I arrived pretty late, but the front desk was still incredibly friendly and helpful while checking me in. The hotel itself was recently remodeled and looked great. The décor was modern but also cozy, which can be a difficult balance to achieve. My room was sizeable, well-appointed, and clean. I particularly liked the ample outlets near the bed for charging phones and other electronics. The bed was comfortable and both feather and foam pillows were available. The bathroom had a large shower and vanity mirror and is one of the best bathrooms I've used in a hotel.
The hotel offered a sizable breakfast the next morning that is included in your room rate. It was a fairly typical hotel breakfast (eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles, cereal, etc.), but I appreciated that the breakfast was served with actual plates and silverware when most hotels use disposable serving ware.
The hotel had a pool and spa that I wasn't able to use. I did notice, however, that both are open until midnight every day. Most hotels don't have the pool open so late, so it's nice that this hotel does.
All in all, I was incredibly impressed with this hotel. It was one of the best lodging experiences I've ever had. I would highly recommend staying here if you're...
Read moreI have to write about this experience!! I have never had such a great experience as i did when we stayed at the Country Inn and Suites, Chippewa Falls, on Saturday, October 27, 2018. We drove from 5 hours away and we were given everything we have asked for and then some. Since the wedding we were attending started at the same time check-in was and we were wanting to change into different clothes and freshen up, i asked if we could check-in a bit early. We called ahead of time and checking in early was not a problem. We requested the best room within our price range and when we arrived we were told that our room was upgraded at no extra charge. This worked out really well, especially since there were three adults and having a larger room with couches allowed us more space, which gave us more comfort. I went to the front desk for one small thing after 10:30 and I asked if there would be cookies available in the morning, since we have a bit of a drive ahead of us the next day. I was told that cookies could be made in 10 minutes if I wanted them right at that moment. I said we could wait until morning. We were offered a granola bars, peanuts, and multigrain bars. Wow! I felt like we were staying with family. Everything was clean and customer service during our stay was incredible. I am so glad we stayed here over anywhere else. If we could add a plus on the...
