Tampa Bay Extended Stay Airport — Hotel in Citrus Park

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had staying in a hotel. My boyfriend and I were trying to save some money while on vacation so we booked a four night stay from Wednesday to Sunday. When we arrived on Wednesday, we were met with a dirty room that looked like they didn’t even vacuum. We didn’t complain because for the price, our expectations were already pretty low. The problem that we experienced during this stay was when we returned to our hotel room on Friday afternoon after a day out, where we came back to find all of our stuff gone. Like vanished out of thin air, every single thing. Our clothes, our suitcases, even our groceries in the fridge were gone. We immediately ran down to the office extremely worried and confused because it looked like the room had been readied for the next person. The woman at the desk asked us if we were staying in a different room than the one we were in and proceeded to call someone to figure out where our stuff was. After some back and forth, she told us that she had to call her manager because her computer showed us as staying in a different room, even though we had already been there for 2 days. Thankfully, she ended up opening the door behind the office and all of our stuff was there thrown into garbage bags. She gave no explanation as to why we were originally checked into the wrong room, why they had no record of us being in the wrong room, or why they removed our stuff. She even said that someone tried to call us multiple times, which never happened so honestly on top of being filthy this place is extremely shady and not safe. We were so taken aback by this incident that we grabbed our stuff and immediately checked out and asked for a refund. She gave us a refund for the two days that we did not stay. We called back and asked to speak with a manager, and she told us that we couldn’t speak with anyone until the following day at 3 PM. We feel extremely violated and so upset that this happened during our vacation and are now stuck on the road trying to find a last minute place to stay. Would absolutely never recommend this place even if you have no other option.

Update: Once we checked into a different hotel that night, we realized that all of our stuff was not returned to us. We had to go back again the following day and speak with a manager, who handed us a bag with some of our stuff. When we realized that one of my bags was also missing, I showed the manager a picture, and the housekeeper standing next to him said “basuda” and motioned like she was throwing something away. So she confessed in front of us as well as the manager that she literally threw our belongings in the trash. The bag she threw away was a limited edition bag from a concert worth well over $200 at this point and the manager is refusing to compensate us for this. I truly hate when people lie, but absolutely.I love it as well. I like to be proven wrong. This, please let me start off with saying I wanted to take an incidental fee and just take the bed. If I wasn't going to the cruise, I would try to figure out how to ship the bed from tampa to philly. The front desk steve is amazing. How about?Yes, it does not come with dishes, and as I showed you, you can cook. But if you look at the price, why would it be? Everything that you would need from walmart dunkin Banking Supermarkets, fast food restaurants & and Dollar Tree for under a $8 Uber ride. I was able to go on walmart and get a three piece pot set for under $13. Oh, I miss that. It's a dollar tree in that center as well. He walked over there and got knives and forks.Everything that I needed for less than twenty dollars. My food and other essential needs were from walmart. And after you leave, you can become a blessing to someone else. The police holds long term stay as well as short term. I left all pots pans forks and everything at the front desk, and they helped me help some other family. There is twenty four hour security. If there is any problem, they handle it right away. Let me say this. I've stayed at hilton marriott, and those were great. But this day was exceptional.I look forward to coming out of ten, but just to stay here again. ROOM 143 WAS WHERE I WAS. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Tampa Bay Extended Stay Airport hotel. The condition of the room was unacceptable, with a dirty floor, a clogged bathtub, a musty smell, and a malfunctioning bathroom door. The lack of basic amenities, such as a bedspread or conditioner, is simply not acceptable. The pillows and mattress were old and uncomfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was unpleasant due to the smell of cannabis and the noisy TVs in the adjoining rooms. The fact that the elevators were out of order and the hallways were dirty only adds to the already negative experience. I expected a certain level of comfort and cleanliness when booking a hotel, and this place did not meet those expectations.
