Update:
Resort Manager Mo was really helpful and understood our concerns, also helped us check out even a day earlier since we were not happy about the overall experience.
Adding a star for all other amenities (Hot tub, heated pool) we were able to use which were great
We booked the Inn at Suncadia for my wife’s birthday in September 2021. We did not had a good overall experience and surely not coming back, I suggest you stay away as well! Below are few details
Check Inn: For Inn you need to check-in at the lodge, we paid for a golf course view room. The lady at the check inn gave us room 15 and was confident it was a golf view room. It turned out all I could see from the room was the parking lot! When I went back asking for what I paid for they said they are all booked and can not do anything now! (They did provide some resort credit and I added a star for that) but the Birthday trip was spoiled looking at the parking lot :( I was told a supervisor would reach out but never heard from anyone, I guess they don’t care for the guest once they pay! They just want you to shut up and take whatever they offer
Rooms: At first look rooms looked nice and eventually the downward journey started, room bedding had some pungent smell and we could barely sleep at the night, to add the beds were the worst beds I have ever slept on. We could literally feel the springs all night. I bet a motel on the highway would have better beds than this 3-4 star resort. We decided to use our sleeping bags and sleep on the floor.
They really need to improve the customer service and overall hygiene and...
Read moreReally enjoyed a stay here over the Independence Day weekend. Suncadia resort is entirely firework free so if, like us, you've dogs who don't do well with firework noise, Suncadia is worth considering. Last year we stayed at The Lodge but we prefer The Inn. The two are close. The Inn is much smaller (18 rooms all on the 2nd floor) and all are dog-friendly. Odd-numbered rooms have decks looking out over the entrance and parking area. Even-numbered rooms look out over the golf course. For the same rate, the golf course side rooms are a better deal. The rooms are large and comfortable. King-sized beds, fireplace, bath, a decent shower, a small fridge and a Keurig coffee machine. There's no microwave. The decks have rocking chairs and a small table but little shade. The hotel was mostly quiet and even though there's a restaurant and bar downstairs, there was little noise from these. The rooms have connecting doors and, even though I've a dog, I was disturbed by dogs next door barking quite frequently. If dogs bother you, this probably isn't the place for you. There's no permanent hotel lobby. We were able to check in at The Inn but outside of check-in hours, there's no-one around to look after guests. For a $400/night room, I think Hyatt should address this even if only by providing guests with an easy way to get help if needed. Compliments to Lisa who took care of us and Maria one of the chefs who walked past while we waited to check in and offered us drinks. The folks that work here were unfailingly polite and helpful. Suncadia is a delightful place to visit with plenty to do...
Read moreBeen here back in October. I do understand it was off-season, but I had to wait at reception for 20 minutes since no one was there and it took them additional 30 minutes to get me an actual room key. Another thing - nothing open for breakfast. If you want something, you'll need to hop in the car and drive to the closest town. For dinner you need to have a reservation for absolutely empty restaurant... I do understand it was off season, but the service...
