Stayed multiple times during the past decade. Kinda of sad to see it falling apart while the prices continue to climb. Rooms haven’t been updated. What has been damaged has been shoddily repaired (see photo) or ignored. Old mattresses with cheap mattress pads. Pool has significant damage around the wall with sharp edges. The room I stayed in had a nail sticking out of door trim, a bathroom door that had to be forced closed, peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling and a loose toilet seat. The room temp was unable to be controlled so it would climb to 78° at night with the thermostat turned off. There was a used desert plate that remained in the south stairwell from Wednesday until Sunday. The one new thing in the hotel was the expanded bar that opens to the lobby. But that really was more benefit for the rest of the resort not the hotel experience . The kicker is it smells up the whole lobby like spilled beer. Since purchasing the Lodge, Hyatt has made one thing clear. Less for more.

I come here every year in February to treat myself this was my 3rd year coming, usually get a nice bottle of champagne in a King bed suite with kitchen/fridge. Not this year. Originally I was excited when I learned about them becoming a Hyatt destination because my partner is a globalist and myself a member however this hotel doesn’t feel like it’s apart of that. Customer service lacked the usual charm of a Hyatt property. I just stayed at The Regency in Salt Lake City and stopped here on my way home. The bathroom door didn’t shut, the tub was clogged and the shower curtain had mold…. Also got put in a room with two queens instead of a king as booked which was odd and not ideal. I don’t think I’ll be returning, The Lodge has lost its charm.

Room: The room was well appointed and clean. Service: The hotel was under construction so the lodge restaurant and lounge were set up in makeshift conference rooms and ballrooms. We didn’t get the full experience that we paid for. Location: Great location with plenty of outdoor activities.

The thing that really bothers me and the only reason I'm writing this review is because I left 3 shirts hanging in the closet. I realized this 45 minutes after leaving and called the hotel. They said they'd look and to fill out an online form. A week later of calling/emailing and they don't have them. We actually checked out before our check-out time so the hotel could have sent someone up to get them before the cleaning crew took them. The shirts had sentimental value to me as well. The Lost and Found team were NO help at all. I've accidentally left things in what would probably be considered worse hotels and I've never had a problem getting them back. These were just hanging in the closet.

The tvs only get very limited local TV and it's $20+ to stream anything from the very sparce selection they offer.

The heated pool was cold and there was ice all around it. You'd think they would put salt down at the very least but no. I slipped getting out.

They allow dogs which is great but they also have s'mores making kits out and bunch of kids running around just leaving chocolate everywhere. I had to be especially watchful for that.

2 elevators but only one worked. And they are slow.

The bellhops and valets are good. The front desk staff are nice and if you want ice they'll get it for you. If you have a mountain view...
