Horrible stay, no-tell motel/hotel, would not recommend, especially with small children. I initially booked our stay at La Quinta because the rooms were less expensive and looked nice in their photos. The property had a pool, and they served breakfast every day. Upon arrival, we were informed that the pool was closed for cleaning, and the front desk associate had no idea when it would be reopened. Fine, understandable, I assume. Next, the breakfast Monday through Friday was three types of dry cereal: waffles, you make yourself, apples, oranges, a plastic Tupperware container of ice with assorted yogurt, bread for toast, and small muffins. Whatever, not as pictured, but again doable. I booked the stay for four adults, two teenagers, my sister, and me. Each day, we had to go to the front desk for clean towels and washcloths, often only receiving one or two fewer than requested for each group member. We were told they didn't have enough. The beds in the room were hard and uncomfortable, and when we asked for an additional pillow, they were unavailable. We were told there wasn't any extra. The room seemed clean. However, there was an odd stain on the sitting chair, which was even worse under the cushion. If I had traveled with a black light, I would have left the hotel instantly. The worst fact of our stay is that prostitution takes place and isn't frowned upon; it seems to be accepted, with ladies coming and going with their male escorts freely through the front door and often leaving through the poolside door. My teenagers encountered a not-so-typical "do not disturb" sign on a door within the hotel, and some disturbing towels left outside the same door. Simply put, this was the worst experience I have ever had, from he lack of essential items to the deplorable activities to the bold-faced lies we were given. On the last day of our stay, the pool was opened; however, I would not let my kids swim since it was still as dirty and disgusting as the day we arrived. Pictures are worth a THOUSAND WORDS, and I have plenty. I reached out to La Quinta's corporate office today. I want a full refund and will not accept anything less. Good luck, safe travels, and help spread the word. As a community of paying customers, we have the right to be...
Read moreThere was no Grab-n-Go, even though they are still advertising breakfast with rooms. We know about Covid19, please just stop using that to be lazy. We had to go to Colorado during the full shut down for a death in the family, and Grab-n-Go is the new norm, but not here! You'll know why in a minute.... Our first room, the blinds were broke so you couldn't shut them to get sleep. We asked for another room. Second room, the air conditioner sounded like a small diesel engine (we took video even) and the closet door kept swinging open so you run right into it. We asked for another room. Third room, the security lock was broken and the same thing with the closet door, swings open so you walk into it, and light bulbs out. This is when Puntam (sp?) gave my husband slack by saying "no one else complained about it", so he asked for a manager because of her attitude, she said she was the manager. Yikes. We went through a 3rd party to reserve this place and couldn't get a quick return, so we had to find a 4th room. There was a dirty shirt behind the chair in the corner, but because the room was ok, we just threw the shirt away and didn't want to deal with the front. The hospitality sucked..and the beds. We came in upset, bringing our dog in for surgery at a Vet we trust, miles away. The lady up front said she had an attitude because we did.... Uh, we were sad, then your hotel frustrated a really tough situation already. You're in "hospitality". We may not have been smiling, but we didn't deserve this. The next night we went to Holiday Inn Express and were greeted so warmly and the rooms were awesome. Go...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. First off, the hotel is pretty gross and obviously not following COVID guidelines while cleaning. My experience regarding the owner is pretty terrible. When we had the winter storms and there was snow and ice everywhere we lost power and water in Joshua for days. On the second day we decided to get hotel rooms to warm up, shower, charge our phones, and make sure my sisters baby was safe and warm. 2 hours into our stay the power went out in the hotel. We called around to find another but everyone was booked. We were going to just go back home, but it was already freezing back up on the roads so we just stayed there. Half the night we slept in our car because the hotel was so cold. So then when we contacted them for a refund on the rooms, they said no. Even though we literally could not use any of the amenities. No showers, no phone charging, no tv, no lights, no heat. They took advantage of all the people in the hotel who had no options to leave. During a national emergency. These owners are disgusting human beings and I hope they see this. Edit: And as you know we were offered a partial refund that you decided not to deliver on. And either way I should have received a full refund. Obviously you don’t know how to do business. And as for the CDC guidelines, we had food smeared on the dresser and remote. & the chair that was in the room had dirt caked on it. So no it was not...
