Amazing little charming hotel in Coloma, Wisconsin. Almost 150 years old and still has quaint, colorful small town charm. Very reasonable price with an excellent patio area and gazebo for live music on weekends. Almost unbelievable bargain in a great little community! Walking distance to parks, restaurants, and shopping too. Great place to book for the annual Chicken Chew Festival. New owners have done an incredible job of remodeling the old bar into a check-in desk! Also very happy to finally see queen size mattresses instead of two twins lying next to each other. Lots of little updates but, still a very quaint, historic, and extremely affordable hotel!

We read the reviews before booking. We were not disappointed. If you're tired of the same old experience of all the name brand hotels, Coloma will be a treat for you. Definitely neat, clean, and well decorated. We found a nice dinner at Miller's. Got a good nights rest. Had a quick bite to eat in the morning (but I understand there are other breakfast options in town). We had beautiful weather in the morning. There are several cozy places to relax inside and outside. We will be back next time we we're in the area.

Seriously the BEST historic hotel we ever stayed at! The rooms looked way better in person then the photos on the website. Everything was incredibly CLEAN. The porch and private gazebo were so wonderful! Coloma is such a cute town and there were tons of shops and places to eat with in a short walking distance from the hotel! Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer to enjoy it more!

We were in charge of the food for my niece's wedding in Wautoma & needed a place to stay for several days to prep for her big day. My brother set us up here, since the wedding party was going to be staying at their house & the hotels in Wautoma were double the price. This was a great choice. It was only 15 minutes from the church & 20 minutes from their house. It had cable & a great wifi connection. The owner was friendly, we always had fresh towels (even gave me extras per my request) & our bed made everyday. The beds were not the most comfortable, but they were comparable to other places we've stayed & when your tired, it doesn't really matter that much. They have breakfast in the morning. Nothing fancy, yogurt, cereal, pancakes, kringle, bagels, English muffins, etc. which is enough to get you going & what a lot of other big named hotels put out. For a small town, they seem to have a lot of activities going on here. There's a nice deck out back, with a nice yard & gazebo, where they have different events going on. Yoga in the morning, etc, just check out their website.||||Some days it was like we had the whole place to ourselves. On another note, since this place was built in 1876, there is no sound proofing throughout the building. If your a light sleeper & there's a lot of other guest, bring some ear plugs because it's like being at home, you can hear people talking in the common area or the next room. All & all, I would definitely...

This place had excellent reviews on TripAdvisor; however, when we stopped there with a reservation for the night of September 13, 2015, we were shocked to see the inside of the place. The office area could only be called filthy with lots of junk, a large cardboard box with dirty dishes stacked in it, another large cardboard box filled with "junky" items including a box of pantiliners. The food area was dirty and messy and a bottle of orange juice in the refrigerator was dated August 3. There was no one there to check us in although the door to the office was unlocked and it took more than 45 minutes to reach someone by cell phone. The TV was playing in the "common area." This room was also messy and dirty. We looked into Room 2 which was supposed to be our room and it looked as though someone had started cleaning it, but stopped halfway through--unmade beds, vacuum cleaner in the middle of the floor, etc. We cancelled our reservation and moved on farther down the...

When we have friends or family visit the area, we always have them stay at the Coloma Hotel, as our cottage is too small. Everyone is always pleased with their stay -- clean, comfortable, quiet and safe. Located in more of a residential neighborhood, is off the main highway. Different size rooms to accommodate singles, couples or family. Some rooms have a door to the outside plus inner door to the living room/main hallway, others open off the hallway only. Large living room area with TV, games, etc; nice porch to sit on; quiet pub on the first floor to relax in and maybe chat with the locals; and a delicious breakfast in the morning. We always know to book early, as this place fills up fast!||||Even visits of ours that always used to camp in our yard now prefer to stay here rather than rough it! Check it out, you won't be...
