Edit: inregards to the response posted: Actually I do not have the wrong location. This employee responded when I asked to speak to a manager," Ummmm... Yeah I guess I am a manager." So there's no manager there, "nope." They should've passed the phone to the manager but they didn't. I didn't get the place wrong unless the number is incorrect on the receipt yall give everyone... and randomly coloma has another A&W not connected to the gas station in Coloma, WI. It's a close eatery to us, so we used to go there. We are not a once and a blue moon tourist.
Overall we've been displeased. We called once in a while with messed up orders(which we under stand it occurs when super busy) what has REALLY TOPPED the cake is having VERY NOTICEABLE MOLD on our BURGER BUNS and dead bugs in our fries. When we called to speak to a manager I was told the person speaking was. I explained the situation told him about the mold (he chuckled) and to boot the bugs. Which I was kind by saying you know flying bugs do happen etc but the amount of bugs no way could of been missed. I also said I could understand that possibly a small amount of mold could be missed, but it wasn't a small amount nor grizzle or from the grill. I politely asked if the owners come in or is there someone above him, he said nope can't contact the owners. (The manager did say,"yeah and!" After I did explain what was found) This "manager" didn't apologize, didn't offer a refund, nothing..a chuckle and also a "yeah, and".. the quality, the love and care is no longer.. I know they are short staff which is rough and are struggling to find employees.. BUT the quality care of food and that people are consuming it needs to be addressed. Wish the owners would step up and see truly what's going on. Everything has gone down hill with this A&W... would recommend going to somewhere else. I thought about this long and hard on putting a review up... but unfortunately I had no choice...
Read moreThe food is always good when prepared properly and the order is correct. However, if your order is incorrect, be prepared to face a barrage of verbal belittling by a staff that seems to pay little to no attention to customers while they are waiting to place, receive, and have incorrect orders made right. Be ready that if you use your voice to ask to receive proper service and orders, you may be faced with an even less-pleasant experience than placing your order often brings. (As I said, be prepared for “a barrage of belittling.” It’s necessary if you express any sort of discontentment with your dining experience, and it’s the only time multiple members of the staff seem overly-willing to pay customers attention—when they often make it customers’ “problems” orders are incorrectly prepared, subjecting them to the kind of attention you don’t appreciate as a customer.) As far as cleanliness, this store has progressively become increasingly dirtier over several months. In addition, the majority of the new staff we encounter seem to be disposed to having an attitude that customers are a huge imposition to them. It’s unfortunate. Our family enjoys A&W and we must be insane because we keep returning to this store expecting different results!
P.S. Make sure your food is up to temperature, especially if you are ordering anything with chicken. We have repeatedly had chicken that is below the “safe”...
Read moreFood was okay. Service was not. Two employees didn't know milk was an option for a "Kids Meal". A sign was posted by the soft drink machines that said condiments and napkins were now at the counter. While waiting for my food, i went to the counter looking for ketchup, but nothing in sight and nobody at the counter. When TWO employees brought out my order (2 bags consisting of a shrimp basket and a kid's meal), I asked if they'd put napkins and ketchup (for the fries) in the bag. They said yes, but there was no ketchup. I went back to the counter to ask for some. There were four people that I could see (and who saw me) that were in the kitchen, and two more behind the counter and talking but farther down the counter from me. The girl saw me and told the guy I needed something, but he kept on talking. I stood at the counter for about 4 minutes. Since I was actually closer to the guys in the kitchen, I finally called out to those guys asking if someone could get me some ketchup. The person that I assume was the lead man or manager then came to the counter. I asked for ketchup and said the guys that gave me my food told me there was some in the bag, but told him there wasn't. He then said, "You want ketchup?? Here." and grabbed two handfuls of packets and threw them on the counter in front of me. I go through Coloma quite often but will be sure to never stop...
